duct taped it, still wont start has spark and compression. i smell the exhaust coming out like gas is burning but no start

Ok I would like to see a video of the spark plug sparking while you hold it on the valve cover. That thing is NOT FIRING at all. Alleyoop

The crank case breather is not going to affect the starting unless it's leaking into the air cleaner and even then it would probably start. I'm sorry if I implied otherwise. I'm just going to go have a good cry....listen to Alley....he knows what to do.

1. Have to take your word for it because I did not see squat.
2. Ok so now lets check for fuel: After you crank it like in the video take the plug out and see if it is wet or dry.

the plug is wet. I put a squirt of gas in the big hose that connects to the carb too. nothing

That is what I would expect a wet spark plug because I have not heard it fire ONCE. QUESTION: Where are you holding the spark plug when checking for spark?
