I started the Scoot for 1st time in 2 months. 2 kicks is all it took to get it started with choke. It hasn't ran since November due to lousy weather . Poor thing has been out in the elements all winter. Hopefully I'll be able to start riding again soon unless the weather goes to h-ll again !! Cheers ! willc.

My scooter has been stashed in storage for close to 4-5 months now..last year before we put them away I was able to prep my scooter properly but this year I never got that chance, my scooter had to go straight into storage, so I have this feeling it won't be like last year where I got it out and it's two kicks and running.. ?not to mention the darn thing has the wrong oil in it, I switched it out for the wrong oil before storage. Whoops. Better remember to change that straight 40 out..

I bought a 1964 Allstate{Vespa} that had sat for 20+ years, after cleaning the carb and points it started on the third kick. After that it was usually a one kick scoot. The toughest part was it had sat so long that the clutch had seized and wouldn't disengage.I pulled up to a brick wall started the engine, disengage the clutch and put it in first gear and viola happy motoring.

Speaking of stuck clutchs I had to seperate the engine and trans on my ford 8n because of the clutch sticking. Shortly after I find out that if it should do that again just pull up to a big tree and run the clutch in and out to burn off the gunk. I did a lot of work that was totally unnecessary.
Same fix as the rock wall!

Truthfully I prefer when I can to ride the scoot when the weather isn't a total mess. This scoot was meant to be operational and ridden regardless of the time of the year! The 04 2T frame just turned over 8000 miles on the speedometer on Monday afternoon. 3000-4000 of it on the current homebuilt TX-200cc engine. willc.
