I found this very interesting test of Seafoam on a small engine. I wouldn't go to the extreme of the last test demonstrated in the video, but the poster had some very intriguing results.
Has anyone tried Seafoam on a scooter?

I have used Seafoam since it was introduced to it in 1992. I was first introduced to it by a salesman when you could only buy it in parts stores, I used it on an 87 Chev that had issues with idling. I injected it directly into the fuel injection system and it took care of the issues. Ever since then I use it in everything I own (mixed into the gas) and also in every scooter or trike I sell. I highly recommend it as a preventive measure for carb issues.

And have you ever tried it the carburetor introduction method on a scooter? I was amazed by the video's results. If used often im wondering if could prevent a large carbon buildup from occurring on new egines.

I use it in all my engines. I have a five gallon can that I use to fill up. It's good stuff. It can even be used in oil just before an oil change to help keep the oil system clean. I buy it in the one gallon size. It is cheaper in the long term that way.

I don't measure it. I just put about 1/4 bottle in my tank once a month with a fill up. It runs a little bit rougher, but not enough to cause any problems. I use mid-grade gas. 89 Octane.

I have never heard a negative comment about Sea Foam. I use a similar product, and add a few tenths of an ounce to every gallon, each time I fill up. Must be doing something, for I have run it 3 seasons, and never had to clean my carb. Advertised to help with the carbon deposits in and around the combustion chamber. Also add to both of my fuel injected motorcycles, at each fill up.
So I say go for it.....read and follow directions

For a long time I used Yamaha carb cleaner until it got outlawed (thank you California) and then found Sea Foam. I use it regularly in small quantities. As far as cleaning you pistons, a simple water injection system works just as well.
