Ok on here last week got some fantastic advice. Also got a wiring diagram. The scooter im working on doesn't seem to follow typical 50cc scooters. Diagram says single wire off pick up coil mine has two wires both wires have around. 057 ac volts coming off which seems to be bad but not sure

Is your scoot a 2 stroke? what motor does it have probably something like 1PE40QMB. have been looking for a PICK UP COIL with TWO wires but have yet to find one so maybe by knowing what motor is in the scoot we may get a hit.
Also if you post requesting an answer from only a certain person others will not chime in. So if you want different strokes from different folks do not request answers just from one person. That person might not know enough about your scoot and or motor and or situation but others may have some knowledge and or experience with that type of scoot or whatever, but to respect your wishs that you only are asking a certain person others will stay away. Ok, good 4 stroke what year is the scoot and please take some pictures of the CDI, COIL and Stator and PICKUP COIL if you have the flywheel off.
WAIT A MINUTE the 50cc Hawk comes up as a 2 stroke?? So Also take a picture of the head of the motor that will tell us which it is a 2 stroke or 4 stroke.

Yes picture of the CDI would be nice, to determine if yours is AC OR DC, just follow the POWER wire on the CDI, IF it goes to the stator it is a AC if it goes to the R/R or IGNITION it is DC(12volts from the battery with KEY ON). Alleyoop
