1. Are you getting anything from the BLACK/YELLOW wire that goes to the COIL? 2. Are you getting anything from the BLUE AND WHITE the trigger wire? 3. Are you getting anything from the RED/WHITE
If you get something from ONE of the PICKUP COIL wires plug that one in the TOP LEFT of the 4 plug.
Now the other thing that I do not like is you have a DC system setup and that CDI LOOKS LIKE AN AC CDI and if so it is probably TOAST getting the 12volts constant and may be why no spark.
The DC CDI;s are usually little bigger than the AC versions. THE AC CDI's MEASURE APPROX - 1 1/2 WIDTH by 2 1/2 LENGTH. Measure yours if it is close to that YOU HAVE THE WRONG CDI for your SCOOT and the CDI is probably BLOWN. wire
I will be gone after tonight going on VACATION will be back next week. Alleyoop

Ok black/yellow wire has battery voltage with key on. Blue/white wire and red/white wire are always ground key on or off. Cdi box measures 1 1/2 x 3. The original one I took off measures the same. I do see a little melted spot on case of cdi box though. What should I be getting off those wires from pick up coil? Any other tests I can run to figure out what actually the problem part is? Sorry to be rushing just want this project over.

Ok well it was cheap enough to try but wasn't the problem I guess . This scooter is turning into giant headache. Still no spark. Is there anybody that can give me a flow of diagnostics to pin point problem part? Im not sure what signal comes from pick up coil both wires stay ground when cranking. Are there any fuses that could blow. I would assume im missing something here

I do agree with you. I ordered the new cdi box. Is there a signal that comes from pick up coil and magneto that tells me yhey are in good working order? By the wsy I appreciate the help I can rebuild a car with my eyes closed but this for some reason I can't rap my head around its function.

The PICK UP TRIGGER COIL should register anywhere from .25VAC to 2.5VAC when cranking it over trying to start. If within that range the pick up coil is good.

WEll try switching the red/white to the top left on the 4 plug and the blue/white out then try plug it in below the trigger. I am at a loss as well all I can find on a pickup coil with two wires is one is a ground. So on the two plug you have a black wire putting out 12v WITH KEY ON RIGHT?
I am still searching for where a two wire pick up coil plugs into.

Yes black wire is 12volts. Will double check when I get home from work. And I switched those wires around this morning with no luck. Any chance you live close to Joliet area?

What do you mean blend in with a FOUR PIN CONNECTOR? Is that the 4 pin connector that plugs into the 4 pin plug on the CDI? Or are the two PICK UP COIL WIRES seperate from the MAGNETO 4 PIN CONNECOTOR?
Normally the PLUG from the MAGNETO PLUGS INTO THE R/R and 1 wire from the PICK UP COIL plugs into left top of the four plug. I do not know what to tell you I am not a Electrical GURU on the scoots but I know what is normal, but this two wire pickup coil never ran into that so I do not know where the two wires plug into.
Oh about living close to Joliet it is south west of me about 50 miles. But I do NOT make house calls(HAHA).
What has to be found is WHERE THE 2 WIRES FROM THE PICK UP COIL PLUG INTO and WHAT DOES EACH ONE DO. So a wiring diagram for that motor or someone that has that motor.
