WRONG! No I did not. It's as it was when I bought it. Ive ridden it for a year and just started having problems with the chain coming off. Well if that is the case then ICE BEAR AND JIM OWE YOU A NEW TRIKE PERIOD. Because that is a BASTTARDIZED piece of crap you got there and that is NOT A TRIKE MOTOR that is a TWO WHEEL REAR DRUM BRAKE MOTOR PERIOD. I mean even the DRIVE SHAFT is at an ANGLE going into a TWO WHEEL SWING ARM that was added to support the motor on that end. And because of the angle the SPROCKET is also at an angle and if it also wobbles on the shaft then you have more problems. Alleyoop

Wow. If that's true I'm not sure what my next step is. The only thing I've done to it is replace the air filter and the front wheel bearings and a new muffler because the old one rotted out. Everything else is as it was when I got it.

I got my Zodiac PDI from Ice Bear from a different dealer trying to pull a fast one sold me a2013 for a 2015 all they kept says was the couldn't explain how it happened also came in with 125 miles in it's out put gear box was empty and junk many parts weren't assembled right. While I did get the new one I paid to keep the older one because they wouldn't accept it anyway I put it on pallet. I think I bear needs away to talk to there customers. The way it looks is you have to talk to middleman which some time don't work .

Hi bill I have to say I did NOT believe your arse, BUT I would not give up and YOU ARE CORRECT they are putting TWO WHEEL DRUM BRAKE MOTORS ON THEM and a piece of crap as the DRIVE SPROCKET MECHANISAM. Here is the PROVE RIGHT OFF THEIR WEBSITE you can see that the MOTOR is a DRUM BRAKE 2 WHEEL MOTOR with a SWINGARM on the end to try and hold straight. I also check back in your 2014 posts and you did take pictures as well and it it plain as day it CAME THAT WAY!! WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!. I checked all of their 150cc trikes and all of them have the same setup. They even show the missing EYEBOLTS the Brackets are just hanging there(HAHA). Alleyoop CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO EXPAND IT THEN YOU CAN SEE THE CRAPOLA SETUP.

Now just to show you how bad that setup is, the SWINGARM trying to hold the other end of the drive shaft is BOLTED TO THE MOTOR BY THE FAN. BUT nothing holding the other end of the two wheel swingarm holding the shaft to the REAR of the SWINGARM that carries the axle.
That is some monkey mechanic stuff trying to save money on the right motor I guess, greed has set in at ICE BEAR, they are cutting corners. You should be able to get something out of it to make it right.
You should talk to JIM and show him the pictures and the VIDEO of the SPROCKET moving left and right.
In your VIDEO i pointed out that the shaft was at an ANGLE and that points to something is bent back there it could the be ONE MOTOR FRAME MOUNT and or the Swingarm holding the end of the shaft. THAT SHAFT should be straight as an arrow and at that angle so is the sprocket at an angle and the chain will not stay on if the sprocket is at an angle. Alleyoop

Alley, I also went to the ice bear website and saw that in only one of the photos of the viking do you see the bracket adjusters on all 4 brackets. All the others have just the 2 center ones and you can see the empty brackets where they should be. I got the viking because it would be easier to work on without all the plastic body parts. I guess that was a bad idea. Not sure what I'm gonna do now the bike is not ride-able as is. Hopefully Rapid Jim will see this and chime in with some ideas. I won't be able to call him until Friday.
Hey Alley I did not put up any video's. Must be someone else.

The other guy may not have a leg to stand on because he bought it off craiglist so the orignal owner new to get rid of it. But you sure do have something to complain about. BILL take a couple pictures of the SPROCKET area like the other guy did see if the same problem exists. Alleyoop

A trike with a frame out of line could be a real pecker to get adjusted.
The 3 wheels have to be tracking together or it won't steer right. The drive sprocket on the motor has to align with the rear sprocket on the axle. If you move the axle to align the two sprockets and it throws the wheel alignment out then what do you do? Move the motor mounts? Bend the frame?
I will more than likely run into this in a few years if I keep getting old and less mobile.

I saw that piece move in the Video maybe that is the FIller that goes against the Sprocket and a "C" in the grove is supposed to hold it in place so the sprocket does not move out. But definitly there has to be a filler in there and maybe that piece is it. Alleyoop

Now lets discuss this. 1. Alley your trike has reverse and was the last model 150cc that did have. As you well know, they had issues with folks not adjusting it correctly causing issues inside the casing. So they took it out in late 2009 and redesigned it with a forward only. Also the rear diff has been changed since then. 2. I sent both of these discussions to Ice Bear this morning and talked with them just a bit ago. They have one sitting in the warehouse and they looked at it to see if there was something missing. The one on the floor is just like this one. No clip, bushing or extra hardware. www.icebearatv.com/product/ptz150-8-k?main_product=457 this link shows the parts. They are going to take one out of the crate and see if there is something missing but doubtful. The folks in Ca believe it is meant to be a floating adapter. I was also told that the motors are different, something about the casing depth. 3. IB will be getting back to me with more info on what they find when they get one out of the crate. 4. Bill, check you motor mounts and make sure they are sound and also check the bearing in the brace.
