Max torque is said to be around 7700 and red line quite a bit higher. On mine I took alleys advice and used a longer belt than stock , think it was an 842. Mine was a 150 had air cleaner, jets, prodigy variator, a Briggs muffler and ran a bit over 65 on a cool humid summer evening. I could always get 60. This one used to, but I don't have any idea what the morons did and they didn't keep records. I didn't know enough then.

I got done with the repairs, and tested the CVT movement. Not going up enough still. I'm ordering an 842 now.

The new belt is as far out as it can get on the back clutch pulley. See photo OK new belt is on. I left cover off while I tried to see if I could get the belt to ride all the way up on variator. I can get it to because it's on the stands and that won't allow me to get to full throttle. I'm going to put the weights back to what was normal at one time. Then attempt to ride tomorrow. I'll report back afterwards.

That is a lower low than you had. It's at the very edge now, the rear pulley has NO more room lol.

You need the rear pulley to be all the way to the bottom not the top

That is a lower low than you had. Got past 45 mph! Then it bogged. Lol not WOT, so I'll adjust the needle clip setting. I'll try an adjustment wth small washers. As I'm really close.

I can get up to 49mph. Yeah. Realized it was bogging then. Upped the jet from 108 to 110. I'll play with it there tuning the carb. If that's not enough I'll go up another size. It's bogging on the 110 at 45mph. I'll play with it. I'll return with results.
Do one change and check results.

Think about it............it ran 49 on a 108........... a 110 only goes 45.......... I would say you are going wrong direction....try smaller, got to remember you have a smaller engine than most that have the big gy6.

So your saying stay with the 108. Went and how do I get to 55mph? It was 71 degrees at that moment

I ran the 108 with the needle clip on the richest seeing. Still bogged at 49 mph.

No I'm wrong. I was thinking backwards. I had the clip at the highest setting, not the richest but the leanest. Thank you for making me thinking that through. I live near St Louis and the freaking weather changes so fast I get sudden migraines. Makes thinking hard. Anyway, I will go down one jet size but I'll start with the needle clip on the lowest (richest) setting. Thank you again. I'll report back.

Only problem. I am on #108. My next size down I have is #105.
I'll try to get #107, #106 if the #105 is not doing what I want.
Do one change and check results.
