For me it was the auto choke. Mine wouldn't close. I am not getting enough voltage to get it function right. So I blocked it off. Even now when I come to an abrupt stop and then try to take off immediately it tries to stall. It can die. I think there's full still getting in the auto choke chamber. Just enough to cause this.
But unplug remove the auto choke and see if does what it is supposed to, open up (pull up into the auto choke) right away then close after some time (re-extend back out)
Do one change and check results.

So You set the Timing mark on T then you set the top dead center by removing the valve top and then set the top dead center to match, then you tightened it all down then you adjusted the valves, right.

Should think about making City Museum a rally point. Plenty of street parking and seems an apt destination for a pile of DIT wrenchers. I like it. I will try to get others get involved, see if they would enjoy that.

So, since I got the Lance doing well I started on my Honda sh150i. It was getting 80 mpg and could get to 65 mph. I only adjusted the rollers weights. Went up 5 grams. From 13 grams rollers to 18 grams rollers. Now I can get up to 70 mph and can get 96 mpg. Yay

Or you can...Put in gas, record number of gallons and miles traveled, then ride....put in gas, record number of gallons and miles traveled, then ride....etc. Won't effect the smiles per mile at all, and just might let you know a bit earlier, that your scoot isn't feeling quite up to par. That too.

I had this problem, figuring out the right jet for the main jet. Try like rks stated, go up then slowly go down in size. Too lean can do damage, too rich won't. Make sure the valves are adjusted correctly, air filter clean spark plug wire is good, etc, before you attempt jet changes. Fuel filter too.
There is computation you can use. the inner diameter of the carb going to the engine times a constant = main jet size, where the constant is a bit less than 4 to 5. It gave me the courage to go down far enough to find the correct jet size.

My 300cc trike 60 mpg but I'm a little heavy 235 and so is my wrist crusting speed 45 to 55 most of time. I weight 250lbs or so and I have a 125cc. It's directly related to the cc's. How fast can you get the Trike up to? I can do 55mph an a good hot day, no wind pushing at me. Do one change and check results.

You might just pull the cvt cover, and see what is stamped on the original belt. That way you'll be sure you're ordering the right size....not what someone else believes to be the right size. Gates Premium, or Bando.....search and pick a vender. Do one change and check results. Completely correct, best way to get the right one.

I am currently getting 90mpg, 125 cc carbureted, as you know, and I can get up to 56 sometimes, and 52 is more normal depending on how hot it is. Hotter is better for my carb adjustments.

Do you have a scale? Weight the ones you have in grams, then measure the rollers in metric. This will give a good idea of where you are starting at. Then decide what you want as results.
Heavier higher top end save a little bit more gas. Lighter, takes off faster uses a bit more gas. IMO
Ever gram you go up or down changes the RPM's by 500 RPM's Sliders are nice if you can keep them in the variator not getting shifted as mine kept doing.
You can go one gram up from the weights you are on and have little affect on total performance but might have a slightly higher top end.
Also you can get a tuning kit from Prima on eBAY. They are very useful.
All this is dependent on the carb being tuned correctly.
Have fun

You can order diaphragms but they don't always fit. I had to order 3 different ones. 2 worked 2, the other didn't. I also replaced whole carb thinking it was something else. I had 2 issues. My choke stopped working, even when newly replaced and the hole in the diaphragm. I ended up blocking off the choke. runs great was only getting 60 to 70 mpg. After the change I am getting 92 to 94 mpg. Hugh difference. Had to decrease my main jet also.
