Several things can cause low compression,,Camino gave you a good bit of advice but if there's no smoke I'd put my bet on a valve going bad,,,,take off the belt cover and get a wrench on the variator nut and turn the engine over slowly with the plug in and snug when you feel it come up on tdc listen for hissing,,,or tthe he head may have worked loose and the gasket is leaking or you may have run the compression test wrong,,,90 psi is really low to have decent fire and power Another question. When you say I could have run the compression test wing. What could I have done that would cause poor test results?

Before I try this I had thoughts. If the head is loose wouldn't I see oil drips?

I found out that my compression had changed. Used to be at 210 which is high. Now it's at 90. So I took off the valve cover and checked the valve clearance at Top Dead Center. Still set correctly .004. So I must have a piston ring issue? There's no smoke so I'm confused.

Contacted the mechanic I trust. He said the belt has to be the correct belt or it will act up and not allow the scooter to function correctly. He is checking on the belt size from Lance, however he tried this 3 months ago and they said they have 3 engines for this model and year. So if I am lucky I can get them to get the correct belt. Then I will adjust the main jet.

Still having problems tuning CVT. Cannot get a belt size from Lance.
Edit: they did give me a size of 799 x 19 x 28 however, the case for CVT is 17 to 18 inches, should be a long case belt size. So I am leaving the 835 x 20 x 30 I think.
Might change it back to the 799 x 19 x 28 I have to see if anything is better for performance.

So I'm very close to getting everything, high mpg and high top end.
I am currently bogging at 50mph. If I lean the needle clip it bogs at lower mph. Problem. I am the richest setting for the clip. I'm on a 105 main jet. When I go to the 106 and leanest setting on clip it runs terrible. I have tried placing a small washer in there too richen up the setting for the needle but it's not enough.
Any ideas where to go from here?

I have the scooter running well. I have a 835 x 20 x 30 and the carb is tuned and I am getting about 73 mpg.

The tension spring is weak, replace with a 1k and 1 k springs for the clutch shoes, all is well.

Ok I got the scooter to get 73 mpg after getting the main jet to 105 and pilot at 35.
Needle clip is on richest setting. Not bad.

Ok, it's tuned for the warmer weather just fine. I had a highway trip and was able to get to 55+ mph. Even into an 11mph wind I could go almost 49, up slight hills. just don't have the ability to tune the carb correctly. I don't have a #106 jet that fits correctly. Also NO bogging obviously. I'm going to try to recut the threads on the #106 I have so it will fit the way it should. I'll do for the #107 also.

Solved: Warner weather speed is at 50 mph at 64 degrees. Only tine was the 9 Mike ride home so the temps have been colder for this last full up.
I just filled up, 73 mpg. I'm closer or at the right tuning. 824 x 20 x 30 belt, 18 gram sliders, carb is a #105 main jet, pilot is #35. Oh and the torque spring is 1k.
I'm a big guy, surprised that a 236 lb person can have that set up and it works.

It's possible the new clutch has strong spring than old one, or the belts needs break in time. Mine was doing this at 45 mph. The warmer weather helped my 125cc. Not sure about 50cc so much.
