reply 101 Check with a Lowes or Home Depot. Take one of the good bolts there and use their screw or bolt finder which are mounted on the walls.

Hey guys, where is the air/fuel mixture screw on this carb? I know where the idle screw is. Is it the flat head screw on the bottom of the carb? My valve screw will be here tomorrow, so just doing my research now so I can get my scoot right

Pop1205, If your carb DOES NOT LOOK LIKE this then YES the Air/Fuel Mixture is on the Bottom. Alleyoop

Alleyoop, Hmm, looks similar to that, but my choke doesn't sit like that. Mine actually looks bigger? I assumed it was the one on the bottom. That's where the mechanic who did my first tune up said it was. I was just making sure. It's in a very awkward position. Have to use a L shaped driver to turn it with out burning myself on the muffler. Luckily I bought a 24 piece set that has that ;D On the road to victory! Just checked online about my order for the valve screw and it's for sure going to be here, unless any unforeseen incidents happen! HAHA. Keeping the chin up and am excited to get my scoot right

Question (What a surprise?) LOL
When adjusting my valves, I know to do the intake valve when the engine is at TDC. That means there is no tension (or compression is the right word?) on the top spring/valve. When it's at TDC you set your intake to .004". Okay, that's not a problem at all. A little point of confusion I'm having is adjusting the bottom valve. Do I adjust this one when the engine is at TDC, when the bottom valve/spring is fully compressed? When reading the tutorial it doesn't make this totally clear. I would imagine setting the exhaust valve when fully compressed would actually be impossible. As you adjust the adjuster, the arm would just move along with it. Are you supposed to rotate your engine to where the exhaust valve is fully UNcompressed and the top is fully compressed? In other words, BDC (Bottom Dead Center). Yes, I am making up terms ;D But just a thought. I (idiotically) adjusted my top valve perfect each time, but always tried to adjust my bottom valve while it was still compressed. I would start the scooter and have a loud CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER sound and just believed it to be the intake valve. Could that have been the exhaust vavle clattering from me tinkering with it when it was fully compressed?! I just got to thinking about this! Am I right or am I just blabbing on? LOL Thanks guys!

Pop1205, If it is at TOP DEAD CENTER both Valves are off the High Lobe of the Cam and you can adjust both of them without having to rotate the crank again. But if the Spring is compressed and you adjusted it that is where your CLATTERING comes in. So make sure it is at TOP DEAD CENTER and at that point you should be able to wiggle BOTH Rockers with your fingers THEN adjust both of them.
Jrryan he is trying to find the Adjusting STUD and Lock NUT for the ROCKER ARMS.

Thanks. Just ordered the adjuster and nut. Probably isn't necessary to order the nut, but I like new things ;D Hopefully this will fit! I've checked with scooter shops around where I live, auto shops, auto stores, hardware stores and cannot find something that will fit this! I was trying to avoid the really expensive shipping costs..... This stuff is EXPENSIVE.

Has anybody ordered from gokartusaonline.com before? I placed my order early Friday morning and chose One day shipping by noon, and I'm expecting it to come today. Yet, on my order invoice I have no order number nor do I have tracking information! I go to my account and hit invoice history and nothing shows up? But the money has been taken out of my account! Just wondering if anybody ordered from them and this happened to them and they still received their shipment? Thanks guys!
