"At press time, suggested retail price for the CBR250R had not been established." I'll hazard a guess at too much. Looks like Honda is going for the younger crowd without enough $$ to afford the 650cc and up crotch rockets. IMHO Nice looks, if your into that style but doesn't do a thing for me. Only sport styled bike I've seen yet that catches my eye is the V3, that intrigues me for some reason. M/C

I'd ride one, but I like the styling. I've been eyeing a Ninja 250R for a little while now, but I don't think the wife would go for it. You're not getting a crotch rocket! Who cares if its only a 250.

don't know why the big 3 don't look at remaking one of the 350-360 twins, possibly even a tad bigger. I suppose it would hurt them financially as if it could be produced and sold for a whole lot less than them damn crusiers. few who buy that sort of thing would be in the market for a new bike for a long time. A improved 650 twin such as yamaha had in the 70's would be nice too. bike with conventional seating are just a thing of the past for the most part. john

All have an upright seating position. The styling may take some getting used to. IMO, all of them are a bit underpowered for freeway duty, tho. It seems as much as we'd like a classic twin, they don't seem to sell well when the manufaturers build them. Remember the Kawi W650? There is a bike that's being made right now that looks the part, but they want an arm and a leg for the thing and it's a bit of a dog anyways....

I am totally out of the market for any motorcycle. physically they just hurt me to ride them any more, but 10 years ago I bought a couple bikes I probably should not have. Had a reasonable new classic twin been there it would not have been hard to make my mind up and buy. the v-strom was a lot more than what I was wanting. I will probably stick with scooters from now on. john

Dunno if i'd get a chinese motorcycle. Unless they are up to japanese standards, i'd stay away unless you plan to use it strictly for around town, but then u might as well just get a scooter. 250s are barely powerful enough for the freeway and lack the convenience of storage like a scooter.

I had a 1982 Honda CX500 turbo. Hands down the best bike I ever owned. EFI and shaft drive made for low maintenance. Valves were easy to adjust. 18 pounds of boost on the turbo made for plenty of power. The comfortable seat and upright riding position made long rides a joy. It also got 60+ MPG. I can't find a comparable bike 28 years latter.
