Been quite busy the last week. Had a customer bring in a 150, with less that 100 miles on it, that would only run for a few minutes then die. After checking out a few things I pulled the carb and the bottom of the bowl and the jets were just caked full of some unidentifiable sunstance. So then we drew some fuel out of the tank, didn't smell much like gas and after sitting in the jar for just a few minutes there was some nasty sediment in the bottom. So time for the tank to come out.

This is were the title of this thread comes in. You won't believe what has to come off the trike to get to the tank. So I am taking a lot of pictures and going to write a instuction manual for removing body panels. I also have a Magnum that needs a front fender change. Hopefully this will help others so that they don't blindly go into changing panels and break something. So far I have been impressed on how the body fits together.

Just got done taking all the panels off the new 50 trike. Wasn't to bad. Lotta screws and no broken tabs.

Rapidjim,
Fantastic, that would be great, taking pictures of panel removal. Which trike is the 150? When I change out the 13/40 Gears on my PST150H Trike and install the 16/37 Gears I will take a Video of it as well so others will know how to do it.

I will be also be putting in a NCY Performance Clutch and Bell. Wildman adviced me that because of the Taller Gears the OEM Clutch will fall apart. So since I replaced the OEM Clutch with a brand new and I have the old Clutch sitting there I will set that one up with the NCY Clutch and Bell. I was also thinking of putting in a 1000 Contra Spring as well. I don't want to go to aggressive on the Spring.

Any comments and suggestions appreicated.

It is a 2010 PST150-11. The majority of the body design is the same as a Magnum. Besides the rear deack assembly, it has a couple extra brackets to remove before you can get the seat bucket out.

Well if you need any help, WILDMAN has that Trike and he has taken just about everything off of that thing. What he does now when working on the engine he disconnects the frame holding the engine and pulls the whole back half out:) I think he posted pictures of it apart in his Supertrike Thread I know he had pictures of it in SD.
He blew out his Tranny Gears and has it pretty much apart and is still waiting for more parts from Ice Bear.

Is Wildman and David Sr the same person? If so he has been waiting some time for those parts, or am I confused as usual? I have the set of gears that IB sent me when I ordered
a transmission from Jim(not his fault) and I will be glad to sell them for what they cost me if anyone needs them. They are for the 09 150cc tranny. I am not going to spend any more time on mine, just using it here on the property and may put in a go cart tranny someday. It is a good mail box trike !!!! I want Oops Burgy trike!!!!!!!! But right now want and afford are a ways apart what with business slowed down so much.

I have been having a pm session with Wildman the last couple of days. PM WILDMAN and see what parts he doesn't that maybe you have and if you have the parts he is waiting for maybe you guys can WHEEL AND DEAL:)

Thanks, Alley. Will do. Thought they were the same but could not remember for sure. I
can tell you what happened in 1941 when i was 5 but I cant tell you what i had for
breakfast today. It is a disease of the elderly called CRS. Most of us suffer from it.
If that Burgy ever goes missing I can tell you where it is!!! 8^)

Well I am not a spring chicken either, but I am not that bad "YET". I am always one day ahead or one day behind. When your retired you really do not care what day it is. Thats why if you have a doctors appointment they call you two days in advance to remind you and to PRESS 1 if you acknowledge the day(HEHE).

The Dark Side was just itching to turn out my lights. So when they accused me of Spamming and I used the word "BULLcrap" and named the Dirty Dawg that complained Two hours later I was banned. Now mind you at that time I only had a WARNING LEVEL of -25% so I had -75% to go. I guess using the 'BULLcrap" word and nameing the backstabber used up the -75% ;D

Oop, by being banned who is the loser?? Certainly not you. While I may not share the same
regard for the IB that you do I do read and value your comments and your sharing of knowledge. This is something that The Dark Side has now lost and we still have.

For what it is worth, This forum has the highest percentage of it's members posting of all the scooter forums around. I think the dark side is quite possibly worried about loosing ground. 11,000 members yet very few of them have posted in the last 6 months. even madmans forum has a higher percentage of its members that post compared to the darkside. john
