My mirror's are attached to the handlebars with two screws that keep on loosing up. I don't want to use any type of locktite afraid I'll never get them loose. Any ideas what to replace the screws with??? I know this might be a stupid ? but there is a lot of wires going in and out of the bars I don't want to screw them up.

Use some Lock Washers on the screws that will keep the screw from vibrating loose. Alleyoop

Not a problem, lock washers will not hurt anything, thats what lock washers are for, so screws do not start to come loose. All they do is put out pressure on the screw head and they will not vibrate loose. Alleyoop

better if you can post pic of it..but nevertheless, the side mirrors on my 50cc scoot before,i used teflon tape,(it's used for threaded pipe for plumbing purposes ).. roll some around the thread and tighten it,this can prevent slight movement caused by vibration then like what alley said, use lock washer that should solve the prob...hope this helps

Blue loctite is fine. Just don't use red...
All the nuts and bolts on my scooter have blue on them and I haven't had one problem...they are easy to remove too when needed...

Consider yourself lucky that your mirrors are just loosening up... I had one of mine fall off!

Second the blue loctite. I use it on everything from little screws to the axle nuts. They will come off when you want them to, but not before. The red is PERMANENT! Rich

Heh. My Meitian Expresso mirrors were plastic and came pretty much stripped right out of the crate. Had to spend $30 bucks right away for a decent set, because they would send only one replacement at a time, under warranty, and it would have been exactly the same as the junk it came with.
