My wife has been salivating over the Qlink Pegasus for quite some time. She had a birthday this month and I thought I'd actually get her something for a change instead of being the usual oaf. Maybe if I got her a Peg it would make up for all those times we just went to Red Lobster . I knew Cookees was a Qlink dealer and thought I'd give him a shot. After some whining and pleading he agreed to recrate a demo that he had on his showroom floor and ship it via U Ship.com. Even though Cookees' mechanics have already completed a Qlink prep and the scooter looks just beautiful, I thought I'd do an ongoing "from the ground up PDI" article and tear the Pegasus apart for everyone's enjoyment . We'll start off with some pictures right after delivery.
Chip and Richard from U Ship had just deposited the crate in the garage. Before they left they wanted me to know three things: 1: Cookees was one crazy SOB, no surprise there. 2: Cookees was one helluva nice guy, knew that one too. 3: it was cold as a witches bean bag in 'Bama, I'd already figured that out, we'd just had an ice storm .
Sue, realizing that the box was filled with a B' day goodie, suddenly gains super human strength......I will never argue with her again . I WONDERED where my testosterone pills were going! Hey, wasn't that Scooter doc plaque..??....oh never mind.
Sue now realizes there's a thick birthing membrane and searches for the umbilical cord. Hey, I'm sure about that plaque now....it's moving and getting bigger!
Sue's extensive midwife training finally comes in handy as she finds and exposes the head ( she practices on me all the time). .
At last the Peg is awake, alert, and looking around. Soon the hunger instinct will.......OKAY, LISTEN, I've had it with that stupid plaque, will somebody take care of that thing? I'm trying to take some pictures and I'm afraid it'll hurt PEG! Sheeesh! That thing looks oddly familiar.....
Well I got the Pegasus out of the packing and rolled down to the basement garage hopefully away from that stupid plaque. The Peg is a beautiful machine made of course by CF Moto.
It's a 150cc and one of the few in this displacement range that has water cooling.
Well that's all for today, I've got to change the oil out, check the cooling system, and charge up the battery and I'll see if I can get it started tomorrow. Well at least that stupid plaque didn't follow me downstairs! Rich

Congratulations to Sue on her new Peg. It sure is a beauty. I wouldn't worry too much about that pesky plaque. I hear that Crest or Colgate Total is very good in controlling this problem.
;D

Damn... I was LOOKING for that plaque out in the warehouse. Guess it must have jumped in the crate while I wasn't looking. Hope Sue enjoys her new scoot.

Guy wanted to buy the black eJewel I was riding, so I sold it.
I just plated Sue's silver "sister" yesterday. Keeping it for my ride this season.

Er, uh, ahem, ....sheeesh! Just a little update here, it turns out that the Pegasus has a rather high seat and my wife has a rather low.....well let's just say she has normal legs. So Sue's Peg turned into Rich's Peg and I still owe Sue a birthday/anniversary scooter. We can't seem to agree on what would work best for her, I just don't see what's wrong with the 650 Burgie I picked out.....go figure. In regards to the Pegasus, it runs so flawlessly that I just can't bring myself into tearing into it at this point. It starts with a tap of the button, goes like hell, and doesn't seem to use gas, I think it may be nuclear. I split my riding between the Peg and my Frankenscoot, talk about a dichotomy. Right now I'm getting the bike trailer ready to tow two scooters up to Toledo over Memorial Day so I don't have a lot of extra time. I'll see what I can do about some Pegasus tech pics though as long as there's some interest out there. Rich

OK, I've heard this comment before. People who ride bicycles all seem to think that you're supposed to set up the seats to be able to reach the ground when they stop. Even with women's frames. So what do they do? They pedal with their knees all bent instead of with their thighs and lower body. What you're supposed to do is slide off the seat at stops and straddle the bar in the frame until you go and then lift yourself with the pedal and put yourself up on the seat so that your leg only has a slight bend when you pedal in the saddle.
Do I have to spell out what your wife should do if the seat is a little too tall for her Rich?? Or maybe haven't you ever seen a short person on-say- a big motorcycle- lean to one side so their one foot can reach the ground.Sheesh!!
