I sold my Znen 150. Now I want something bigger, but used and cheap. Any suggestions? I'll entertain anything 2-wheeled and interesting.

I have seen some nice 250cc bikes on ebay for as little as $1800.00. There are also some nice used Berbmans out there.

SPS has the 250 54b for under 1700 shipped and I think they have a smaller wheeled 250 even cheaper. As for used, craigslist and caveat emptor

And if you want it to go even faster still make sure it has Whitewalls Tires, the Whitewalls reflect the wind and heat and make the tires roll faster or something like that Alleyoop

I am in South Carolina, just South of Charlotte, NC.
I'll probably get a 250 from Superior. I like the Type 79. Is that a Roketa? I see the RK at the beginning of the model number.
I could go back to Carolina Fun Machines and get a CF Moto Fashion, but I don't like that boxy, less aerodynamic, 80s Helix styling. They used to advertise the Znen 250, but I only saw one actual model on one occasion. That is out of my range anyway. $2,000 is my absolute max.
I missed out on a $750 Reflex clone because I had yet to sell my 150.
I also have my eye on a 2004 Hyosung Comet 250GT sport bike for $1200.
Not too far away is a 2005 Silver Wing for $2997, but I don't want to finance.

I've got no problem with buying Chinese because I know what I am getting into. I do my own wrenching. I don't want to finance what is essentially a toy (a scooter isn't a necessity). It would be great if somebody would import more Chinese motorcycle models. There aren't a lot of small displacement bikes available in America.

I've given my $0.02 about UM on more than one occasion ... So, if you ask me, unless you find a UM Xpeed 250.... avoid UM like the plague. UM America went belly up about a year ago, leaving me SOL with 18 months of warranty left on the motor. UM Global is still selling bikes, but they're no longer selling in the North American market.

The UM Xpeed 250i and the Hyosung MS3-250 are the essentially same scoot, that's the only Korean model that UM sold, the rest were Chinese. There is a distinct difference in quality and performance between the Xpeed and my old UM Matrix 150XX.
Turtle - watch CL and some of the bike trader mags. Maybe you can find one.

Thank you all for the product lessons and words of advice but didn't he say this?
I sold my Znen 150. Now I want something bigger, but used and cheap
I might be a little dense but bigger than a 150 to me means a 250. Unless he goes after a SYM HD-200 or one of the Kymco 200s. Maybe a Piaggio BV 200, well you get the picture. My advice was about finding a 250-honest-and I said United Motors 250, not 170 or whatever else they come in. Killer is still selling the 54B for $1800.

Technically something bigger in a scooter or a motorcycle is valid advise. Too many options out there.
Now I'm thinkin' used Kymco People 250. I saw one on CL in FL for $1800 but that is too far for me to go get.
