How much damage is acceptable? Pretty sure not a single panel is without damage. And I don't mean light scratches. Gouges. Broken faring vents, busted tail light. The poor excuse for crates were crushed everywhere. T-bars sticking 6" out of the cardboard. Haven't unpacked the trunk and windshield but expect to see damage there too from the broken t-bar crating. I guess I expected some abrasion, the dealer makes it very clear to not refuse shipment unless the thing is completely destroyed, but I would think that replacing every plastic panel is pretty high on the list. I don't expect them to replace gouged panels, getting ready for that arguement. But the tail light should be no issue. Has anyone ever requested and been given touch up paint? The only thing I would post negative about the dealer, PSM, is that they shouldn't open the crate and do anything, because they likely caused some of the damage by not re-attaching the t-bars and letting them basically destroy the unit from abrasion. I assume much of the damage can be attributed to the shippers - and possibly more locally my issue. I've had other large items be severly damaged when shipped here, and the internet stores did good and replaced the parts but will not ship here anymore, citing that they ship hundreds of things a week and I was the first person to have multiple deliveries with substantial damage. Irregardless, I was going to sell this first one because it wasn't what I originally wanted - cf moto Fashion style - but will be a hard sell with so much body damage. Hopefully it runs better than it looks. BTW these are the newly listed "Fashion-style" units on this page www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/cPath/38_95/products_id/14986For those wondering as I was - they are Sunny models, but the model numbering is not what it is on the site. The stickers put on by a blind person (no offence to any blind people out there) is LB250T-4. I didn't expect Japanese quality, but I also didn't expect to pay close to 2g's for something that looks like it was in an accident. What if I wanted to open a dealership up here - is this the way they would be delivered? How the heck could I possibly sell this? I'll attach pictures tonight.

Curious as to why they say NOT TO REFUSE DELIVERY??? I would have taken opened one side of the crate and checked it out if all that damage was so visable on the crateing and REFUSED the damn thing called my credit card company and get my money back.
There is no excuse for accepting something like that. PMS is most likely not going to send you all the parts that were damaged BUT they do have your money don't they. Also the wait and hassle on your part to verify the damage sending them pictures and then PMS is going to tell you, you have to deal with the shipper and not them, this is an old story that happens all the time.
What they should do is Take a Picture of the Crate when the SHIPPER PICKS it UP and When it is Delivered to you. That would point to who is responsible for the Damage. Very simple solution don't you think. The way it works now The shipper blames the the Seller saying it was not properly crated and the Seller blames the Shipper and guess who gets screwed. Lefty

I feel like a dummy - wasn't sure how to handle this game, what is considered 'norm' for delivery of these things. Played it down and didn't go ape on the truck driver, but as I looked at them in the truck, I really wanted to tell him not to take them off. I also thought that statement from PSM was a little concerning, as if they knew damage was emminent, and don't worry we'll make good by it. I guess I'll be seeing how that turns out. But we're talking faring, front fender, rear fender/skirting, side panels - nothing left.
Good point about the before and after pictures, but us people are able to think and have initiative to do well - some order clerks and pickers likely could care less and probably barely make it thru each day without being terminated. Aside from the one t-bar sticking thru the cardboard, the box itself looked not too bad. It was all the framework and tying-up to the framework that did the damage. Pieces of the crate that were disassembled at some point and left to hang or just thrown on top loosely. Not sure but thinking now that may have been from the dealer PDI?
I was told today that we have people on night shift that work at the local UPS who drop and break open anything they think they may want and claim it lost or damaged. These guys have asked people if they want them to keep an eye out for anything.
I expect it isn't much different elsewhere in the shipping world - ACE Ventura Pet Detective types, just wish I knew how much damage to expect from the average scooter shipper before hand. I'll put up the shots tonight and people can chime in with opinions.
It does suck.

I guess I thought most people suffered some transit damage. Everyones explanation of how much differs. I'm hearing that I probably accepted too much. After taking close ups tonight, i think the build quality is probably substandard as well. I don't know who this company is - Taizhou Chuanl?? Sunny is the brand. Packaging is definitely substandard, shippers didn't help. Paint has some really bad areas. Manufacturing scuffs everywhere - by that I mean places where shipping couldn't have touched it, looks like they push the parts around on dirty assembly tables. Contacted our credit card company. They said to wait for a response from the dealer. If unsatisfactory, the credit card company will put in a dispute. ""Remember to inspect your shipment upon arrival. You have the right to open the box to check for damages. Minor damages like plastics and fenders for example can be replaced and will be covered under warranty. Avoid refusing shipments at all costs. Getting a replacement may take weeks. Only refuse your shipment if the damage is beyond repair. Make sure to sign the delivery receipt describing the damage and to write REFUSED DUE TO SHIPPING DAMAGE on the receipt. Contact us as soon after to report the refusal.
Thank you.""will know more tomorrow - not sure how to load more than one picture - time for bed, will load more tomorrow Attachments:

Imagine what it would look like if you refused it and after it was shipped back! I think that might be why they want you to accept it with damage because they know it can't survive being shipped twice.

Imagine what it would look like if you refused it and after it was shipped back! I think that might be why they want you to accept it with damage because they know it can't survive being shipped twice. That's probably the best logic per their statement. I wonder if this is the crating from China or the way PSM crates it up? I really can't see it making it over the ocean and all the handling involved with the crate that it was delivered to me in. BTW - there are 2 scooters in those pictures - yellow and dark red. The dark red has more significant damage, but the yellow on has more areas with abrasion. The big picture is that both look like they've been in an accident. ****I just got a call from the same local shiper that is now delivering my 3rd one - the Roketa 54 style but unfortunately a Sunny model. This one is coming from Texas oddly. Would PSM be dealing with Killer and sending a unit via Killer? Why would this 3rd unit not be coming from LA where the first 2 did? Very interested to see how this 3rd one shows up - AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANOTHER DAMAGED ONE. If in fact PSM has made a deal with a another dealer, maybe I stand a chance of having this one show up without looking like it came out of a claw prize machine at the fair.
