I placed an online order through County Imports for a BMS Grand Prix with the lay-away option two weeks ago. They never charged my credit card the initial 20% down. I called them last week to find out what was wrong and they said that there was something wrong and they would call me right back. After another week of no contact I emailed but got no response. I called several times and left a message but was never able to speak to someone. I finally sent them another email cancelling the order and got a SSR Pacifica through www.powersportsmax.com

You should always look up complaints against a company: If you would have asked before going and ordering I could Of told you they are really BAD NEWS. They have the best WEBSITE AROUND but that is all THEY RIP YOU OFF. I know from EXPERIENCE I had to get my lawyer on them back in 2009, the bbb and attroney general can only write them a letter about a complaint but they do not have to answer and they cannot do a damn thing if you get ripped off. They tell you to get legal advice. Alleyoop Just for starters go take a look see: www.ripoffreport.com/directory/County-Imports.aspx

Bought my scooter from County Imports 18 months ago and they delivered as promised. Post sale, for questions etc. , they are not very responsive though.

Well your one of the lucky one . They just sell sell sell, warranty god help you. If your buying they will talk to you and answer the phone if its a complaint they do not pick up. They may the first time but after that there system is setup for complainers and they will not pick up. To get to someone you have to use a different phone because your original phone number comes up from the sale(HAHA). I know from experience and a guy that used to work there as a sales guy. Alleyoop

I ordered (2) 50cc Laguna scooters from countryimports.com in February 2012. Shipping time was appropriate. One arrived without a front axle nut. I notified the company, numerous emails were ignored and i resolved the problem by buying one myself after trying to get a response from the company for a month. I'm glad it was something minor & inexpensive. It was not the money but the principle of the matter, i paid for it to be there. Unless the scooter is assembled by a certified mechanic with the appropriate paperwork sent to them, the warranty is void. This was not a warranty matter but a missing part problem. I found out the company does not back up its products, after the sale, they couldn't care less about you. I will never deal with them again ! ------------------------------------------------------------- My complaint on RipoffReport.com
I ordered 2 Laguna 50cc Scooters from County Imports in February 2012. One was missing the Front Axle Nut and repeated efforts to obtain one from this company have been ignored. Responses to emails are nil. I'm going to have to obtain one on my own, it's not the money, it's the principle of the matter.
If a company won't fix a problem this simple, i want nothing to do with it. The only positive is it wasn't something more serious or costly. Rest assured, they will not get any more of my business.

It's always a good idea to search a potential vendor on rip off report.

I got to say I took a real Screwing from Scooter depot com. Wish I would have know of rip off reports then in 2012. My Sunny Style 150 arrived but only ran 174 miles before it died on me. I was disgusted with them on their tech support for a Monkey probably knew more. Recently I dug mine out of the Basement and did get it going. It was a Carb and Valve issue. I was able to find parts at PowerSportsMax and I did read a post of someone having trouble with the order. I panicked also, placed a order, tried to call, no response, cancelled the order and the next day reordered got my confirmation and items as promised arrived via USPS. I have never been able to make a landline contact with them but have placed 3 orders for parts and have been a happy camper ever since.
