.... Everyone is right the gauges suck. I use the odometer too. Fill it up between 120 to 160 miles. Most I ever put in was 2.5 gallons. Mine holds 3.4 gallons and the most I ever put in it was.... 3.4 gallons. I had run it down to fumes a couple of times to see how many miles I could get out of a tank, which is 220 indicated miles, that's about 200 actual miles. Usually I'm putting in about 3 gallons at each fill-up. The scooter is very consistent with it's mileage (65mpg) so I can time my fill-ups pretty close. Haven't run out yet. I write the indicated mileage down at fill-up and add 220 to the number, and keep that note in the glove box. My gas gauge recently quit working but was so far from accurate it was useless anyway. When it was in the red I still had half a tank so I had to use the odometer unless I wanted to fill it constantly.

Will a Honda Reflex headlight reflector and lens fit our scooters? If so, is it better than our Chinese reflectors and will it take the heat from higher wattage bulbs?

Will a Honda Reflex headlight reflector and lens fit our scooters? If so, is it better than our Chinese reflectors and will it take the heat from higher wattage bulbs? They should be direct replacements. The original bulbs in a Reflex are 55 watt H7's. So it looks like the Reflex headlight assembly might be more heat resistant. However, it is a little pricey: www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_years/1407-honda-2006-reflex-nss250/assemblies/17205

Did you just cut and solder the wires or used the twist method and plenty of electrical tape? Do not ever use twist and tape for wires or soon you will have problems again!!! Why don't you just do good at first time and get rid of future problems. I nearly always use these abiko connectors and solder wires to them. And shrinking tube on also after soldering. That bottom row and second one from the left is great. You can easily share your wire if needed. Like if you have relay for your after installed 12v socket. You can share that hot wire easily with for example digital volt meter. Of course don't use those share connectors for important wires like charging wire or HID light wire.

Texan I like the splice idea. Looking at the picture of it I'm trying to visualize how they connect the two wires.
Jalet, I am dangerous with solder. Every thing I've tried to solder has turned out to be a disaster.

I will try the solder route Texan. I just hope I don't melt down the front end of the scooter. Keep us posted if you have any lens melt down problems. I do ride at night and have 45 45 bulbs, which are the better then the 35w bulbs, but having more light makes riding at night a lot safer.

Good news so far. You would think a melt down wouldn't take long.

Well today I took a 50 mile round trip with no ill effects from the new headlight bulbs. So I think it is safe to say that the 60w/55w H4 halogen bulbs are safe to use. If there was gonna be any type of meltdown on the lenses it should have already happened.
