I've got an icebear 150cc trike that I need to get insured. I had geico but my now ex screwed that up. Was 15 a month. I'd like to find something similar. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but all my online quotes are for 70+ a month. My pickup is only 54! I've got a pristine driving history with no accidents, no tickets, a class A cdl, and an msf course. Any suggestions?

That's way too high, my Vulcan 1500 isn't anywhere near that. Are you sure you're checking the right box for the quote? I would think a Trike might pose a little confusion for the insurance company. Something is definately wrong with those quotes. Rich

Yes something is wrong with 15.00 a month, unless you live in BANDIDO terriotory or something. I Have a PST150H Trike and I have Foremost from Michigan and I pay $121.00 full coverage and that includes towing and assistance they will even come to my garage and fix a flat. Alleyoop

Alleyoop I think that comment was about the $70/mo rate from the OP.

I just looked at my ins bill's. the 2 small scooters have the states minimum coverage and run $34 each for a year. my majesty 400cc has full coverage for $116 a year. I have shelter ins co. In Arkansas your rates are based on age, state driving records, claims, and your credit rating. It pays to shop around, and never get a quote for less than a year, I believe it will put you in a different rate category. I could be wrong there but I believe that by the month will group you with those who buy 1 month then get your plates and drive with out insurance the other 11 months of the year. my company will not insure a crotch rocket. when I had the 1200cc bandit I had to use a different ins co. and they were higher for the same 2 small scooters. john

...again...the big three seem to be the cheapest.
Geico, Progressive, Foremost ( also does AARP )

I had Progressive before I switched to Foremost, and my rates dropped in half when I switched to Foremost with the exact same coverage. Foremost was recommended by AARP as the best insurance company for motorcycles so I got a quote and was glad I did. I also got the towing with Foremost and don't believe I had that with Progressive.

You don't need to belong to AARP to get Foremost insurance though. AARP just recommends them. I don't belong to AARP and just contacted Foremost directly after hearing that AARP recommended them. The rates will be the same whether you belong to AARP or not.
