You see the BLACK THING ON YOUR CARB THE ENRICHER, follow the wire FROM IT TO WHERE THEY LEAD. IT MAY ALREADY BE PLUGGED in and that one you found may just be for an option that you do not have. Alleyoop

Ya, I don't see it. Do all carbs have one? Here is the video of me looking for it. Do you see it?

Oh the wire bundle in this pic : is what attaches to the auto choke in this pic: ?? Enricher and choke is the same thing? I was thinking it was a bundle of wires coming out something attached on that side

HAHAHA!! No it is just the two sides of the CARB and the Bundle of wires are part of the ENRICHER(CHOKE). You want to follow those wires and see if that RED CONNECTOR from the ENRICHER(CHOKE) is already PLUGGED into another connector. Alleyoop

NAY, You already did one of the hardest things that many are afraid to attempt and that is Adjust the Valves, Everything else is a piece of cake. You just have to learn where the parts are that is all. Most of the items are PLUG AND PLAY, if a CDI goes bad you order one UNPLUG the old one and plug in the new one same with the COIL wire and the Rectifier/Regulator(charges your battery). Alleyoop

Hey straightbangin can I have the movie rights to this thread? ;-)
Ya.. look for that RED plug.. that is the enricher on 90% of new scooters, could be hidden in the harness.. mine is under a rubber shield of some kind. start at the carb enricher and follow the wires back to the harness...
You are doing GREAT... wish there were a few men out there with your ability...

Thanks Sprocket. LoL. Sure you can have the movie rights. LOL. Call the movie " tales of a clueless scooter girl " LOL. Ok here is another vid. It seems the wires from the choke are green and yellow and hook into two different places but in both places they ARE hooked into SOMETHING. So many wires all strapped into tight spots, its pain to find what's what so I ended up having to go by wire colors. It has been giving me this issue for the past 3 weeks and I only bought it brad new less than 6 wks ago. I'm afraid to drive it now because I don't want to mess it up worse AND have to push it home when it dies. No car so this scoot is IT for transportation. Sigh...

Normally the end of the CHOKE has that RED CONNECTOR and it should just plug into another Connector. The wires would not be connected separated and connected individually. But never fear you can test it if it is connected and or working. You will have to take it off though, it is held on by two screws and a "C" bracket. Take if off and lay it on it side out of the way. Then Cover the Hole where it came out of with your thumb or whatever and hold it there and start the scoot. NOW AS THE SCOOT IS IDLEING watch the PLUNGER ON THE CHOKE, in about 2 minutes or so it should START TO EXTEND OUT and in about 4-5 minutes it should be fully EXTENDED OUT LIKE THIS: IF IT DOES NOT EXTEND OUT AS IT IS IDLEING IT IS BAD or NOT PLUGGED IN. Alleyoop IN ABOUT 3-5 Minutes the PLUNGER SHOULD BE EXTENDED OUT LIKE THIS:

Ya I didn't see any red clip, it plugged into the first thing in the vid and then lead down to a bundle of wires under this rubber cover thing that was kinda holding them together and protecting them, but I could look into it and it looked like it was plugged into another connection but it was a white plug/connect. Ok so I'll test it tomorrw. I'm looking for it to start to get excited around 2 min and full plunger hard-on at 5 min or so. It's to dark out to see now so I'll have to do it tomorrow. Thanks

Well If you saw the RED CONNECTOR FROM THE CHOKE plugged into a WHITE CONNECTOR THAT MEANS IT is plugged in.
So tomorrow take it CHOKE OFF THE CARB and see if it actually is working Like I mentioned above. Alleyoop

Why? Because it is an easy fix? I'm guessing would just require a new choke and I'm guessing its a cheap part? LOL. That's me thinking wishfully. I'm looking at chokes on ebay and I see what you mean, they all seem to have that red clip. They look to be around $10, not horrible. What does it clip into? Is it hard to get it to the spot it clips into? The wire going from my coke seemed to be wound around in different places and hard to reach where it went (up along the side faring towards the back) I may have to unzip tie some stuff then retie it to get to it all. The wires are crazy tight and hard to get to If it is a bad coke and I'm going to replace it anyway I could always cut the wires from it and make it easier to pull them away from the bad choke and see where in the world they went to

My NST 50 is identical to your scooter, except yours looks much better than mine. When I pulled my carb to clean it the wires from the enricher ran over to the frame on the right side (facing forward) of the scooter. They met up with the frame above where the starter solenoid (the part with the two red caps) is then ran down the frame rail towards the coil. (the coil is bolted to the frame and is covered by a black rubber boot) The enricher plug is usually in that area, between the starter solenoid and the coil. Could even be farther forward than the coil as the wires from the enricher are longer than they need to be for this model scooter. (one size fits all) My wires doubled back on themselves and the plug was between the two parts previously mentioned. Take hold of the enricher wires where them meet the frame and gently push/pull on them and watch for movement along the frame rail. That should lead you down the right path.
When I watched your second to last video I noticed that your carb wasn't connected securely. This could allow too much air in causing runability issues too. The intake manifold (black rubber mount in front of the carb) has a slot in it that when properly mounted keeps the carb on straight. When the tab on the carb is in the slot you know that the carb is in the right position. The air intake on the back of the carb needs to be pushed up tight all the way around the rear opening of the carb and both clamps need to be snugged down to prevent air leaks. Hope this helps.
You are doing just fine! Being willing to get into the insides is 90% of the battle. You've got a great scooter there and it will be running good again soon.
