The gatekeeper is on it now, if your carb clamps are loose, it'll suck air instead of fuel air mix and won't run.
Tighten those clamps with the carb in position as described and see if it'll start.
The oddest thing happened this morning when I tried to start my Roketa MC-17 150. It would start, but if I gave it any gas, it died. I musta hit the starter 20 times to get it to run, then I raised the idle and it came back to life.
I hope it wasn't an internet virus that infected my scoot, but I rode it hard to work and it fired right up to come home.

Yes, I just noticed that on her last Video that she was able to rotate the Carb which is a No No it will suck are the Manifold Clamp.
So Before you mess with the CHOKE Straighten out the Carb and Tighten it up good You should NOT BE ABLE to ROATE it. And try it. That may be all that it is. Alleyoop Alleyoop

Gatekeeper ya that sounds exactly how my wires are too. Ya my carb was a little loose because I just had it the side off of it so I could turn it and drill out the plug to the A/F ratio screw. I'm going to tighten both sides up today Thanks. I can't wait to get him running good again. I'm going through scooter with drawl. There are more scooters on the beach than cars and I want to be back in the game bad LOL. That and driving in 95 degrees w a breeze is way nicer than walking in it w/ out one.

Alleyoop, okay I will tighten it and go for a little ride to run an errand, knowing I may need to push it back after Then if hit craps the fan again I'll test out the choke later on once it has cooled down. Thanks

Thanks. I tightened up the carb fastenings and then started it for the first time in over 24 hrs. It started right up fine, let it idle for about 15 seconds. Carefully took off and made it to the much needed grocery store which is 5 min away. It bogged a few times on the way there but i gave it a pep talk. Took my time at the grocery store ( about 20 min ) to let any possible flooding subside) went back out, started up fine, carefully took off to go home and promised it i wouldnt make it go back out today if it just got me home. It sounded a little bit louder, almost a " chunkier idle " on the way home but a veryyy subtle difference from what it usually is. No bogs on the way home but it didn't seem 100% either and I could have sworn I smelled a little gas. So its sitting out front cooling off. How long should I let it cool down before starting him up to test the choke do ya think? Thanks.

About an hour, should be fine by that time IF the CHOKE is working it should be RETRACTED LIKE THIS: COLD CHOKE- RETRACTED Feeds Extra Fuel for starting a cold engine. HOT CHOKE- EXTENED Cuts OFF the Extra Fuel after 3-4 minutes of Idleing. IF After say 5 minutes it DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THIS EXTENDED then it is NOT WORKING: Lefty

I can't get the choke off Both screws are so cheap that they stripped even though I was being very careful, pushing hard into them and even tapped them lightly w a hammer to set the screw driver into them) I was hoping to even get one off since I think w a c clip like that I could prob swing the arm open but no luck. And now its raining.... Hmmm. I prob need a whole new carb huh? Anything else on the scooter I should check before thinking I need to get a new carb? Also, do you know where on the carb it would say what size it is? Thanks.

BUMMER!! Do you happen to have some PLIERS you might be able to grab one the screws from the side. Most 50s come with a 18mm carb, which is plenty for that scoot. Hate to have you get a whole new carb after you drilled out the Plug to get at the Fuel Ratio Screwo.
Maybe you can take it to a Gas Station that work on cars and ask the Mechanic to Loosen the Screw for you. GIVE HIM A WINK. Alleyoop

I have plyers but the head is almost flush against the carb and its tiny. Plyers wont get it. LoL. There are 3 auto repair shops on the whole beach, none will work on scooters. None of the 3 gas stations work on cars and the scooter shops charge $100 to just LOOK at it. The one motorcycle shop wont work on scooters either. LOL. Its in there soooo tight. All of the screws and bolts seem to be in there wiked tight. Sucks when they feel the need to have the stuff on there soooo tight AND have a cheap screw/bolt. I can't even get my luggage rack off if i need to get the rear faring off because it was totally stripped by the dealership. Its such a little screw that my drill can't drill it out either. When it stops raining maybe I can figure something out. Right now im looking at new carb though i guess

ya def can't get those screws out. there is no part of the screw hanging under it for me to grab w plyers. I dont have a drill bit that small to drill out the screw or a torx bit to hammer in after i have drilled into it. I'm going to be spending more on tools to fix it than i paid for the scooter. What do u guys think? New carb or look for other stuff on the scoot that may be wrong?

When you drilled out the plug covering the air screw and then adjusted the air/fuel mixture, did you tighten the clamps holding the carb on before adjusting the mixture? If not, now that the carb is on tight again the mixture would be running too rich at this time. If it idles I would re-adjust the mixture before pulling the choke off and testing it. If that doesn't change anything then check the choke.
