If you can right after it dies, because you mention after that it is hard to start. Now checking the Coil connectors which are covered by the Rubber Boot that you can check anytime. The rubber boot is JUST a sleeve that fits over the Coil just like puting on a sock. So you can just move the rubber sleeve back to expose the two Connectors. Make sure they are nice and tight on the connectors if not get pliers and squeeze them a little to tighten them up. Make sure no bare wires are touching each other and then just slip the rubber boot back over the coil. Alleyoop

It starts perfect but wont stay running. LOL. I'll check it out right after it dies. Should I cut the sleeve w/ a tiny pair of nail scissors? It looks like it is like taped on there ( unable to slide off) - the black coating on the coil. If I can make it to the gym tomorrow and have it die like 1/2 block from home on the way back that would be perfect because I can go right into checking this. LOL! Oh yay! I have a little syringe like in the video that I can use to suck the hoses with! coil, petcock, canister, hoses, etc. looks like I have a lot to check while waiting for the carb to come in, thanks again for the suggestions guys

Should I suck these hoses before the scooter is warmed up, or right after it dies? I don't want like hot fluids in my mouth. LMAO. Ya know its really hard to talk about petcocks and sucking hoses w/ out it sounding wrong ;D A good sense of humor AND a great looking scoot! Now that's just a win - win situation right there. ;D

Thanks gatekeeper. I haven't tried to start it in 24 hrs. I went out to start it and it won't even turn over now. I guess I'll have to check the hoses with it cold.

Your battery probably needs to be charged, the short runs and playing around with it is not enough to charge the battery. If you have a Trickle Charger charge the battery up. If you have a Kickstarter that does not require the battery so you can probably start it that way. I know you can do it since you said you can press 350lbs with your legs Alleyoop

Ya true. No trickle charger. I have to park it by the street, so if I did have one no where to plug it in (apt bldg doesnt have any outside outlets) True I can kick start it. I know how to do that. I made the mistake of always kick starting my old scooter when it woudn't start w the button and I did it so much it broke off. LOL. I hope it stayysss running once I start it, if it does I'll let it run for a bit and charge it up

Thanks. Between the socket wrench set, the carb, the stripped screw kit and the power drill for this damn scooter I'm broke. I'm out of work until I can get my grip back (Was in a car accident awhile back and have to be able to grab a 200 lb barbell if a client starts to not be able to do his reps anymore ) It sounds like a great charger though

It has been raining. When it clears up ( prob tomorrow) I'm going to kick start it, let it run awhile drive it around the block a bit, and when it dies check out everything ( spark, hoses, etc.) while waiting for the carb to come in. Tis the plan.

Good plan, got to say this has a story to be told. It probably is something simple that is making this scoot die. When it dies does it just Die on you or does it sort of start sputtering like it is not getting gas. Alleyoop

I'll be driving along and it will like hesitate like chug forward a bit then if I don't let off the gas it will power down and die. If I do let off the gas it will simply power down and idle and then possibly die. So I guess you could say a very quick sputter than a power down and FU at the end Ya its prob something simple, at least I'll learn the ins and outs of my scooter along the way. Its weird sometimes it wont happen for 20 min, sometimes it will happen in 2 min, sometimes it will happen the first time i take it out for the day and right away, sometimes not until the 2nd time i take it out. It seems to vary a great deal. Go figure. I have seen other people w the same exact scooter on the beach. I have tried to ask a couple people if they have had any problems with it and of course " no english " Gotta love miami. Its crazy that u dont need to speak english to go to school here OR get a drivers license
