Vespa 250 GTSie - $3000
2006 Red Vespa 250 GTSie with windshield, rear trunk and foot mat. Never dropped or wrecked, all service up to date and low miles at 6 K. Scooter is gently used never as a commute or daily rider.
Local pickup only. $3000 or best price. If its as nice as she claims in our telephone conversations I am buying it. Its long been one of my dream machines. Not really a fan or 'come get me red' but at that price I cant pass it up. If the exhaust recall has not been done I can talk her down a tad on that however she claims its been regularly serviced at the dealer since new, has had a new back tire put on it so they should have done the exhaust recall at that time. She claims to be a freelance writer and bought the bike a few years ago in more flush times as a pleasure driver only. Is in a financial bind now and needs to sell. I cannot really find any serious issues other than the exhaust recall: modernvespa.com/forum/wiki-gts-250NADA states $3900 average retail on this year and model. I see LX 150s for $2500-$3500 or more around here. It was the first yr for FI but I cant find any problems online.

Looking good, in fact that would look real good in between a couple of my scooters. Not much of a hump to lift your leg over, noy quite flat but a lot better than my majesty for sure. Is that an air cooled engine? John

4 valve, water cooled, it's the pride of the fleet. I hope you land it. They're good machines and that's a good price.

3k? I'd buy it even if it wasn't cherry. Those GTS's don't come cheap.

I cant get this crap off my mind, im flabbergasted really. I thought the guy whos tank touring 150 with no tags that was here for the keylock set was crazy but this chick takes the cake. A medium frame scoot with no tags is a dead giveaway..its going to be bigger than 50cc thats a given and cops dont know much about scoots but any cop is going to recognize this. A scooter this big aint no 50.
Not only that but take a chance with no insurance? on this bike? what planet do these people come from? I had cash money I was going to have the title notorized and bring it on home right then! ugh.

I know this will stir up comments. I keep all my titles in a fireproof box in a secure closet. I'm amazed how people just toss them in harm's way with no regard for the future. Craigslist is just crawling with "No title".

Craigslist is just crawling with "No title". No stirring up at all. I keep mine somewhere safe (another property), what I'm required to keep with the scoot (insurance card and reg, not title) is taped under the seat so I know its there. CL is just as bad here, mopeds, scooters, bikes, cars all listed with "no papers, selling for a friends, he said theyre really easy to get". Crazy. You can actually get papers, I think you had to advertise the details publicly, give people a chance to claim it back etc then you can get papers remade but its not all the cheap and usually not worth it for the type of vehicle. Some folks are just irresponsible and/or stupid.

I think some states have decent laws as far as no insurance, but in Ar. you see some of the same names in the paper for the court appearances time and time again. As I see it when you get repeat offenders the fine/jail time is obviously too small. With some people I believe the fine may be less than the price of insurance around here. If they put me in charge there would be some changes! john

speaking of that.....
Uninsured Cars Off The Road Recently, the City of Dallas , Texas , passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance, the car is towed. To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars. Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. 80 + % of the impounded cars were driven by illegals. Not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released, they have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot. Accident rates have gone down 47% and... Dallas ' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality. Wonder how the ACLU or the Justice Department will get around this one. Just brings tears to my eyes. GO Dallas !
