Yeah, those china tires aint the greatest. Im still running on my Duro tires, mainly because I havent gotten out there and put my new Avons on. The Duro's have decent grip but my back ones not real round. Its not to bad when running straight but when I lean hard in a curve at speed I can feel it kinda wobble. I should have changed them today but went for a ride instead. Dont forget to change your valve stems also. If your tires are that bad Im sure the stems are in bad shape too. -Zug

That should be warranty. I had a bad tire when I got my two Bashans last September. The guy in parts said to have the tire taken off and remounted and then if it still shook they would see about replacing it, what a crock, I just bought my own tire. I hope you have better luck. Rich

should be in warranty but I sure would not put the same brand tire on as did that..... The way quality control is today good or bad, the whole batch is going to be pretty much the same from one unit to the next. I put a set of sl26 pirelli tires on each of my small scooters. I was looking for the best traction on wet surfaces and I believe I have it. chinese tires are garbage. My life is riding on that rubber, I can pretty much control what surface I ride on but have no control about getting caught out in a rain storm. john

That sucks.
As does the tire. It's a good excuse to get real tires put on. I want to put new tires on Tom's scoot, especially after the accident but he's still not there. He says they are fine because they still have tread. What he doesn't seem to want to understand is that it's the side walls that start breaking down on these so you go down in a curve. Even if the tread looks good, the side walls get weak.
Go get yourself new tires and see if they mnfr will give you something back on them. Valve stems, too.

When I did my PDI our local Auto parts places did not have the valve stems I wanted. I had just gotten them last weekend from my Dad he picked them up from the place that mounted his tire this spring. My plan for the weekend was to change out the Valve stems and get my Carb adjusted. So instead it was spent surfin the net and finding decent deals on Tires. After doing a bit of mulling over I pretty much decided to just replace both tires. Safety first. Now it is just a matter of coming up with the Money to do so. Sucks figured on saving money riding scooter back and forth to work. First real nice week of weather looks like this next week and I am stuck driving the MiniVan again until I can get tires and get them mounted.

Once you get things right on your scoot you will be saving some money and you will know how to fix stuff when it does happen. I ride because I like it and the money savings is a bonus side effect. ;D
I do my own tires. Even though I dont like doing it that much I hate to pay the shops their outrageous fees to do it. Every thing costs a mint around here. -Zug

I'm lucky to have a dirt bike shop close by. They are the only ones I can find that will TOUCH a scooter wheel/tire..........unless of course you bought a scooter from them........jerks. Anyway, these guys mount, balance, and put a nice metal stem in for $25.00, nice guys too. Rich

On a tight budget right now so Ordered a pair of Shinkos. And will have the guy that mounted up my dads tower this spring put both of them on and replace the valve stems at the same time. From everything I found the Shinko tires seem to have very good reviews. I am hoping that holds true. They can not be any worse than the crap that came on my scooter.

Why are we dredging up a 4 year old post? The whole purpose here is to help others get their scooter riding and I am sure those tires went in the dump 4 years ago so they are no longer a threat to any one.

yes, i know its been 4 years now, but this kinds of chinese scooter story keeps on hunting new chinese scooter owners, there seem to have a curse, no less than DrRocco bcomes a victim, he bought a brandnew chinese scoots did the pdi for almost 2weeks, he didnt attempt to start the scooter until the weather becomes fine, and when start using the scooter one by one the problem rises like a mushroom,, i just didnt know why, from the time his scooter arrived it took him 2weeks before he starts or crank it, he can very well start it inside his garage but he rather wait 2 weeks., bizarre if you ask me!!!
then there is malevelina too, then Kz, who replaced the valve spring on his very slightly used blue scoot, my morphous is 8years old with 28k miles but the engine is still Virgin and untouched!! and he claims that his scooter is better than mine!! oh jizzzz!! eat my dust!

Worlds better than yours, you mean. As a matter of fact, Eons better than yours. I don't own or need a trailer for mine. How you doin? And now that we know you're trying to Photo Shop mileage onto your Odometer picture you mean all of 6,000 miles on your Morph. I've seen the OEM Bridgestone on yours. My 50cc has more miles than you.
Dragging up a 4 year old thread. Is that the best you can do? How about the recall for corroding fuel pumps on all Yamahas? Where's that thread?
Oh, and another thing. That scooter was one of the bargain special 2007s they sold in 2010 for $1500. They sat in warehouses for three years under who knows what conditions before the customers got them. For what he paid a set of tires was no big deal. Leave your Morph in the sun for three years and get back to me.
