It isn't the key. The pressure/finger test didn't go so well. The scooter couldn't push my finger out of the way at all, bit of pressure, but not much. So big bore kit. Any thoughts on that?

Ordered big bore kit. Scooter Big Bore Kit 72cc GY6 QMB139 Four Stroke. 72cc GY6 QMB139 Four Stroke Big Bore Kit 72cc 47mm Increase Power by up to 30% and torque by up to 50% Each kit includes: Milled Cylinder Emissions style Head with 18mm intake 16mm exhaust and high performance springs Cylinder, piston, piston rings, piston pin, and clips Top end gaskets Performance Camshaft (not shown but is included) with 4.75mm intake stroke 4.55 exhaust and 123 degree lift angle. It has same emissions attachments mine has already too. I'm going I'll be ok putting this on. Tools needed?

Ah yes the Amazon BBK...
Gasket spray and a good set of metric sockets and a torque wrench (rent one) are the minimum requirements.
If you are not certain ASK.. before you do anything

You don't HAVE to use it.. I find it works well and improves heat transfer..but read the can , if you over use the stuff you will have problems Copper Spray tinyurl.com/7o4sbckYou need to do some research and find out what the torque specs are for that BBK and head...

if u got money to burn sure bbk but sounds like u need to find the prob with engine now so u can get more exp in these little engines jumpn to bbk i dont know

NO instructions with the BBK.. you need to get a GY6 manual and study it.. there are some rebuild videos on YouTube...but you will need fairly good mechanical skills...

Never done ring job. The bbk is supposed to be for the 150cc to whatever size a 63mm cylinder gives you. Just found out it's like a 178cc. That seems good.
