my trike starting problem By kaka20 (Read 2,387 times)

i have a china made trike 200cc ( name: WJ200ST-6B) engine g6y type with reverse.

the problem is:

when it get started . it does not get the race/speed and after some time it stops after 15 minutes almost. then it does not start again.. i tried to start in in the night. then i left it. in the morning when i start it. it start at once.. and the result same.. it runs from almost 15-20 minutes and same problem not picking up the race .not exceding speed .

what could be the problem

when was the last time you did valves ?

There is a varity of manuals available on the site home page. You may want to look the directories over and I think it will remove a lot of frustration when you encounter problem.

Yes, the first thing you want to do is AJUST the valves tight valves cause problems like what is happening.

If it still does it after the valves are adjusted better check the wires toi the fan from the thermo relay....

in the manual the ""values clearance in 0.12 out 0.12"" after 1000 km distance

check the wiring to the enrichener . Valves give hard starting .

I believe that refers to "intake and "exhaust" valves, adjust both. Most generally what happens is the the exhaust valve expands with the heat of the exhaust gases and with the heat expands the valve and the ajustment tightens up or gets smaller and exhaust valve doesn't quite close all the way. When the fresh gas goes the the compression stroke it escapes because the exhaust valve isn't shut all the way.
I think I got that right, anybody see any need for correction, please chime in.

Trike I have the same as yours and also in white and now I have 2000 km and have never had the problems you said

All the motors do not run the same and also how and who did the installation of parts on the motor. Also the metal on one head may be just a little different than another head. There are a lot of variables that go into the motor piston, jug,crank,head,valve springs etc. Any one can have a minor or major part defect that causes a motor to run different than another identical motor.

my scooter runs only 860 km till now. now it start with a single push of button but runs very slow and does not pick up the speed and also the silencer back fire like a cracking firework.. and stops after 15 minutes and then it does not start whatever you do

so does the value adjustment will solve the problem
