Something still isn't right. New battery, new starter, new solenoid. I am wondering now if it is timing. GRRRRR

You need to pull the plug and check for spark... Also that starter should run better than that...it is just marginal IMHO. The resting voltage on that battery is high they are normally 12.6-7 volts
The engine isn't firing from what I can hear.
No spark.. check the voltage to the CDI on the red/black and the pulse voltage on the blue/white or blue yellow. You should have at least 50 volts AC on the red/black and .5 to 1 volt AC on the blue white...it will pulse...each time the pick-up coil fires...
Batteries by the way have nothing to do with the running of the engine.. the engines are run from the stator...the batteries are only there to turn the starter and run some running lights perhaps...

Checked and I am getting spark, with the spark plug out of the engine it turns over freely, with the spark plug in it acts acts as it does in the video. This is nuts!!!

you need the high torque starter as the compression of the motor is to great for a stock starter you may be able to put a heaver gage wires for the ground and the battery cables that may help

Well I'm running out of ideas here but I'll float a couple of balloons:- I don't think the timing would make it act like this. But to be sure set your cam sprocket to be oriented like this:
Then with a wire or visual inspection make sure the piston is TDC.
- I agree the cables may be faulty, check your engine ground, the black starter cable, and the red cable.
- Maybe the starter clutch is bad, you've replaced about everything else.

Can the cam chain be to tight? And if so can you add links to it without taking the engine down?

If you think the chain is too tight, then try adjusting the tensioner. Back it off then just snug it up. If it's the origional cam chain I seriously doubt that it is too short, unless you have done some major modifications to the engine and valve train.

I just listend and watched your video. It souinds like it's a bad battery to me. Did you take the battery to a shop or to autozone and have it load tested? That is the telling test! I just had a battery that was acting like yours and it was holding 12.8v at rest. Took it to an Orielly's parts store and had it load tested. Test result was "BAD BATTERY"!

Yeah I did replace the battery. the issue now is the engine still will not rotate a full cycle WITH the plug in, if it remove the plug the engine rotoates great!

YOU NEED A HIGH TORQUE STARTER you have increase the compression of the motor and you are trying to get it to run with the stock syle starter will not work if the cam chain was to thight the chain would not go on get a high torque starter and go with a larger gage wire for your grounds and battery cables

i'm almost thinking there might be something wrong with the engine like really wrong with it and that how the starter got fried in the first place, by not being able to turn over. or it justn eeds a high torq started i'd have thought they were all the same as they all run the same compression un less you install some performance piston/head.

I agree if you put on a BBK you need a high torque starter...no if ands or buts...

I am going with the timeing is TO ADVANCED and that is why it gets hung up. Recheck your timeing. On mine I hve 200PSI which is quite a bit. And with any of my performance CDIs which have the timeing advanced that sucker will kickback on me. If I put on the STANDARD CDI turns over and starts like nothing NO KICKBACK. But I also agree that his Battery is not taking a load and does not have enough power. Alleyoop

if you have followed his posts he has a stroker crank a bbk and has to pull the head off because he crash the piston into his valves so yes the motor has way more compression than stock he has bent a valve had to replace it and he has a new battery starter and so on he has try to turn the motor backwards and forwards he is in way over his head he has sent me a PM asking how to space the cylinder for his crank so he needs to listen to some one that has built a motor like this
