I have a MP-150 b.One day it quit running at a light. Diagnosed problem as a bad stator and replaced it. Scooter then started and ran ok but the headlights and tail light was dim, especially at an idle.I have replaced the stator again, the regulator, and tried everything I could think of.The voltage will show bout 13-17 volts ac on the yellow wire until it's plugged into the regulator. Then its 0 ac or dc.The voltage at the lights is 3-7 volts but the + is the green and - is the yellow. I'm about to give up.Does anybody have any ideas.

Replace the regulator/rectifier...sounds like it is bad...or you have a stator/regulator mismatch..fairly common problem...
Your voltage shouldn't be reversed...

I have tried 3 differant stators. The last one is an 11 pole.I did change the regulator but eventually fried that one and blew out a few lights. I have a new regulator on order. How would you buy a matching set, or know which one will match the stator I have. The only differance I see between the new stators and the origina one is that where the yellow wire is soldered to the stator there are two small copper wires from the coils soldered to it and the new ones only have one. Thanks for any info and help. And by the way mine looks rokitafans and it is a 08 as well.

withn the 11 pole stator you will need a 7 wire r/r and do some wiring modifing i have done the 11 pole upgrade to my scooter and here is a wiring diagram i made up of how it is wired

The voltage will show bout 13-17 volts ac on the yellow wire until it's plugged into the regulator. Then its 0 ac or dc.
13-17AC unregulated on the stator is marginal but that should do it, 20v AC is better. However, 0 or DC is off the scale wrong plugged to the R/R. If you plugged into the white tab accidentally you'll get DC, 0 on the yellow tab is burnt out diodes. Get a new regulator. The voltage at the lights is 3-7 volts but the + is the green and - is the yellow.
It should be 12v AC on the headlights and 12v DC on the tail, it's a bad regulator. Yellow shouldn't have a negative, it's AC voltage. We need some pics of your hook up.
By the way Justbuggin, that is the cleanest, most concise, most understandable diagram of the 11 pole setup I have ever seen. I would like to put that in the tech area if you don't mind. Rich

at this point , I would change the stator as a pair to be on the safe side .

Weak rotor magnets? Stator installed backwards? Wrong stator for the rotor (flywheel) magnet arrangement and number? You should have 30 - 100 volts AC at the stator without the regulator plugged in. Wrong polarity from a regulator with a mismatch of wire arrangement in the plug?
