High and low beams should operate off the same rocker switch, so if you`ve got power to the high beam there should be power getting to the rocker switch at least. Have you swapped the headlight bulb just to make sure the low beam filament isn`t busted ? If the bulb is ok then you`d have to trace the low beam wire from the rocker switch to the bulb itself and check the wire for continuity. Have you got a separate switch to turn the sidelights and headlights on or do they come on automatically ?

Do your headlights normally come on after the engine starts? If so they're AC and on a different circuit from the tail and dash lights. Rob 63 is spot on about the rocker switch, your filament is probably burnt. The other lights are off of the ignition switch black wire or the brown wire. As RH says take a look at the wiring diagram to get an idea of how this works. If you have a diagram in your manual it may help. Bypassing is not a bad idea. We could wire the dash and tail light right to the ignition switch. You'll need a multimeter and have to pull some plastic to do it though. Rich

I just checked my key switch it has power but the connectors that go to the head lights only the blue wire has power. The brown wire that goes to the low beams has no power. then i went back to the tag light which use's a brown wire does not have power. i checked grounds they are all in i really have no clue how to get this power back going through brown again

NEW discovery don't know if it helps. Low beam wire brown turns into Brown/White and then turns in to yellow. I went back toward my seat area and found a bunch of yellow wires. With the engine off no power go to them but with the engine on with my test light it's very very dim so could that be the problem remember im a newbie to this scooter and the scooter world thanks for the help

It is possible the stator is bad as the stator powers those lights.

Just to clarify, are you confusing your hi/lo beams (main headlight) with your side/day (running lights) ? As Bashan stated we need to know if you`re main headlight only comes on when the engine is running, or does it come on simply by turning the ignition switch on without the engine running ?

I can turn on my high beams with the engine off and key switch on. The two small lights under my high beams that should come on with the running lights do not come on with the headlight switch on low and the key switch on. BUT i think they are not battery powered and should run with the engine but i think they are not getting enough power so what do you guys suggest now THANKS

Ok so it seems that your headlights run off dc current, on your left switchgear do you have a switch like this with the hi/lo beam symbols on it. Does the headlight bulb light up in both those positions ?
