Move the needle jet clip in middle, ran scooter a long time adjusting idle at 1800-1900RPM'S, when I start scoot it seems to have a low idle, then slowly it goes up to these settings, is that normal?

Does this happen when it is cold or warm. If it happens when it is cold I would say one of two things the ENRICHER is extended or the Fuel Ratio screw is not adjusted right(to LEAN). Alleyoop

Alley, It did it when warm, after setting idle, left scoot set a while, she fired right up, then idle will go down 3,000RPM's, I just notice after setting the idle like Bob said, it starts but idle was slow going up.

Going to work, started to cut out on me, If I back off throttle it recovers itself, may turn the a/f 1/4 turn leaner? I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW COMING TO WORK IT RUNNING GREAT, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTS THIS I'm calm now I was low in gas bottom the red mark, so I don't if that had anything to do with it or a possible vacuum leak somewhere, I just took notice I lost my airbox drain hose, would that do anything?

If that is the AirBox Intake, Yes getting to much air with it off. Put it on and drill a small hole through the plastic and screw in a small screw so it doesn't come off. Alleyoop

What your pointing too is the filter in front of my variator. The one above it is my air box. I'm refering to the back of the airbox where the drain hose goes out, its missing, I didn't know if it would suck air or not.

I know the black thing is your air box but I do not see any HOLE in the back of the AIR BOX that is missing a hose. Do you maybe mean the TRANNY VENT HOSE? But if there is a hole in the air box to drain whatever a missing hose would not effect it since putting on a hose to drain would be sameo sameo. Alleyoop

Well when it starts to cut out or act up do the TRICK OF THE TRADE to find out what it needs, This Trick is very accurate:
When you notice a Stumble, Back off the throttle a little 1/8-1/4: 1. If it surges ahead your Lean 2. If it stumbles and recovers your Rich
Now depending on where in the Throttle position this happens Different settings have to be done: 1. If it stumbles as your starting off - Adjust your Air/Fuel Mixture 2. If it stumbles in the mid range - Adjust your Needle 3. If it stumbles at WOT - It could be your Air/Fuel Mixture or you may have to Re-Jet. Alleyoop

With the info, I would say I need to adjust the a/f 1/4 leaner. (I know I act so dumb by times, I should be an expect by now)

That trick of the trade stops all the guess work and adjusting the wrong thing. I Learned that back in the late 1950s when I used to race my hotrods at the Dragstrip. crap I used to rebuild my carbs on my hotrods these little carbs on the scoots are a piece of cake very simple and easy to adjust;D Alleyoop
