Gotcha, I am thinking of buying a bore kit, jets, new carb, exhaust, intake, variator kit, rollers etc, but I saw this "Holy smokes! 100cc big bore/long stroke JOG minarelli 2stroke scooter engine for your long case applications. 12" tire and larger. This actually has a carburetor included! (no airbox included)1pe52qmg is a 52mm bore. unprecedented quality, performance and price only at ScrappyDogs. $399.95 " www.scrappydogscooters.com/50cc_2stroke_Performance.htmlFor that price i could get a 70cc bore kit for $106 + air intake $14-17 + carb for 60ish + rollers and jets for $50? + new cdi for $40 + better belt for $30 ='s around $303 but is 20cc less and has all the old parts, gaskets etc.

Taped off the intake and was doing 41 mph. Tuned the carb a bit also
So should I get a #80 jet? or could someone link me to a good one?

All Right from 35 to 41 quite an improvement. That is what it is supposed to be able to do. Well it will be a trial an error on the jet size, if your sure it has a 45 or 45.5 I would get a couple to try out with the Tape off all together. It is hard to tell how much air is coming in and the amount of extra fuel it will need to match a lot more air.
Since you can now run good at 41 you with the current jet and how much you have it taped off. I would get a 65 or so and a 72 and try them without the tape on. Going from a 45 to an 80 is almost double the size I think that is to much really. They don't cost much anyways.
But at least know you are just about right already. Alleyoop

My question is, where do I get these jets from? scrappy dogs has a set Mikuni Large round main jets Large round main jets for JOG Minarelli 1PE40QMB 2stroke carburetors, along with dozens of other carbs that use this Mikuni style main jet. Available in a wide range of sizes larger than stock. These are a must for those of you that want to install an air filter, performance exhaust, and other upgrades. #75 through the big #100. $4.95 choose your size
Is this the size I need or where do i find out what type of jet?
EDIT
Btw I still havent located a number for my engine anywhere. I found a part where someone had filed something off the bottom of my tranny case.
I found this.
CPI scooters use 12mm wrist pins and 16mm crank shaft splines so they are your basic Two Stroke Jog 90 Engine as well as Keeway scooters are the same.
Im guessing it is a 1e40QMB
I can only find a #75 jet

No it wasnt rain getting in the gas tank. I believe it was the battery being low, and a crack in my coil wire. Rain was shorting out my spark.
I bought a 12 dollar water resistant cover and use my rain poncho to cover the gas tank area.
Poncho on first then rain cover. After that no issues. The only few times I have trouble starting it now all i do is spray a tiny bit of gas in the air intake and she fires up.
