Ok Mr Bashan.. Sorry it took this long.. One battery died had to recharge it.. Two today had some time to look at the bike..
These are the reading..
Per your testing.. The only thing that beeped was when the key was on and I did Red to blue/black
But one confusing thing.. In your illustrations You have the Red probe on the red wire and the black probe on the black wire... But on the drawings you had the black probe on the red wire and the red probe on the black wire...
Did I do it wrong with the Black on Black and Red on Red???
It was the KILL FUNCTION that I tested and NOT the kill switch.. sorry about that... the green and white/black wire per your pictures..

The only thing that beeped was when the key was on and I did Red to blue/black If you were testing the ignition switch unplugged from the wiring you should have got a continuity tone from red to black, and from red the blue/black, with the key on. With the key off you should have got OL on these wires. Green to white/black should be continuity tone with key off, and OL with key on. Anything other than these findings is abnormal and the switch is bad and must be replaced. But one confusing thing.. In your illustrations You have the Red probe on the red wire and the black probe on the black wire... But on the drawings you had the black probe on the red wire and the red probe on the black wire... Did I do it wrong with the Black on Black and Red on Red??? No, there is no polarity with continuity testing. The meter sends a small electric current between the probes to see if electricity can pass. There is no red or black or negative or positive.

Ok, so the fact that I have not continuity with anything except the red to blue/black with the key on.. I will buy a new ignition switch..
I guess that was the issue the whole time. And not the fact that is the wiring. from adding the cutoff switch..
Someone (uh hum) from another site had me test the ignition as well months ago, but with a piece of wire and not the tester like you did.. Guess we could of figured this out back then... Glad your not an electrician you might of had me do the same thing....
Just glad we could narrow it down.. I will order one tonight and when I get it put it on.. And will let you know if that was the issue...
Thanks for all your hard work..

I hope it is just the ignition switch. However, There may be more gremlins to shake out of this bike. Whatever fried the ignition switch may have damaged other components. However, we have to replace the ignition switch and get it off of the table as a suspect....(remember "rule in/rule out"?)....until we can move on.

Make sure everything is grounded good...a lot of times if its not grounded good you turn two things on in feedback through the other to get the ground.. I've seen all kinds of crazy stuff happened to automotive lighting because of the background..

Well just an update... Sorry its been so long.. Well I purchased a new ignition and as expected.. That was NOT the issue.. so wasted 50.00 little unhappy about that.. Will try to resell it here or on Ebay or somewhere. Sucks to wasted the money but its doing the same dam thing... So next step is to take it to a dealer and see if they can fix it.. If not going to try to sell it and get what I can.. Take the 1500 loss I guess.. Seems nothing is going to fix this mess....
