The ALL black wire had NOTHING.... The only two that lit the tester was the two that I have the arrows going to in the picture... I was checking out online and saw someone from scooter dawg with the same issue, but they haven't posted since Jan.. And now that site is gone..
Is the all black wire supposed to light up??
Alley, if there was a problem with the fuse box wouldn't the tail lights be out too?? What blows me away is when I shut the key off.. the headlight then comes on and if I push the horn the speedodemeter moves.. up and down.. I literally have to disconnect the battery for that to stop.

If the all black wire show nothing, trace it down to the fuse box and make sure its connected, maybe it not making connect (it should show 12v too) I think that's what Alleyoop is getting too.

Well that is good so with it off what does not work when on works when off. I think your IGNITION is the problem it should ONLY DO THAT WHEN ON. Did someome mess with the wires on the ignition switch? if so maybe just switching the wire will fix it. Alleyoop

I may have not said something right. This is what happens when the key is in the ON position.. I have nothing.. no blinkers, no horn, no dash lights. and only the high beam little bulb light works... And in the picture I posted with the two arrows the top wire ( I think is green) im color blind. Lights up bright with the tester.. The black/white wire lights dim.. The all black wire does not light up at all...
When I shut the key to OFF pull it out.. The main headlight comes on now.. the odometer is lit... If you push on the horn If makes the speedodometer go up and down.. if you hit the blinkers.. it dims and lights the odometer.... And the green and black/white wire light up bright on the tester... and the ALL black wire also lights up the tester.
Ok that should be everything that happens.. Fuses are all good So that is where I stand... And where the 20amp fuse is.. there are 4 wires with it... The two in the back light the tester and the two in the front dont.... Ok, now that I said a mouth full.. Im still lost.. LOL>.. wish I was as mechanically inclined as Bashan with this scooter...
I don't think anyone switched the wires.... It was working when I bought it.. Then all of sudden they stopped working... So Im not sure or don't think anyone else switched anything..

This is your SOLENOID with the 20AMP fuse: Alleyoop Notice the color wires going to the FUSE BOX.

Ok.. looking at that picture the R/W and R don't light.. The other two do when I use the tester... Should I be using a tester with the light bulb in it... Or should I use the voltage tester?? I have both.. I check the 20amp fuse its good.. changed it out and still did the same thing...

Tester is find it will light up if juice is going throuh the wire. Did you check the wires on the solenoid was that ever messed, do the wires on it match up like in the picture? Alleyoop

I still say the IGNITION key switch is your problem. It is working opposite so inside is probably corroded and touching the wrong contact internally. Alleyoop

I would just change out the switch, I mean even with the key off and out you have power.

@kz.. this is what I did.... I have a tester with the light bulb inside it.. I clipped it to the + on the battery, then took off the left handle bar controls (Not sure the right word).. Then with it clipped and running.. I touched the tip of the tester to every soldered piece in there and NOTHING lit up.. only things so far I was able to light up was the part in the picture.. And also lit up was the place where the 20amp is that is connected to the battery in front of the battery.. two of them lit up, two didn't... @alley.. I replaced all the fuses to the fuse box.. Only thing that shys me away from the fuse box is that the one 10amp is for the horn, blinkers, and tail lights.. But my tail lights work.. The Dash, horn, low beam headlight, and blinkers all don't work.... (well unless you shut the key off then the headlight works.. and the horn makes the speedodometer jump and the blinkers do crazy stuff... richard.. Is that a CF Moto Fashion?? Not sure if I have that cluster of wires.. The only fuse box I found on my fashion is in the glove compartment... I will have to look for the black wire on the fuse box.. Before you start replacing anything, connect the tester to the negative not positive terminal on the battery. Repeat your readings. They should show normal results - tester will light on black wire with the key on and will go off with key off. The original tester hook up you used will light up only when you touch the probe to a grounded circuit or the negative on the battery.

@ cruiser.. will try that tonight. but still cant past the fact that there is power when I remove the key as well. Im starting to think that its time to replace the ignition switch. bad thing is having to switch everything.. the ignition, gas, glove compartment, helmet lock and trunk.. fun fun fun.. Why couldn't it be something so easy....

Take the Key ignition out and maybe the wires going into it are corroded and touching and or maybe you can take the wiring part going to the KEY assembly out and check the contacts they would be on top just like on your light bulbs. You have nothing to loose if you cannot do anything with it anyway that is what I would do. Me I will look at it and see if it can be taken apart and if so I will and see if it can be fixed if I ruin it taking it apart it wasn't working in the first place(HAHA). Alleyoop

Just Guy 1, you should have sent me a PM and told me you were still having trouble! I've got a perfectly good Fashion we can burn up....er...I mean experiment on. I'm sorry about your previous thread, I didn't delete it, it's hidden. Some clown from another forum was trying to use it to drum up business. I'll look it over and bring back the relevant parts. I'm at work now but I'm off tomorrow and can devote some time to your problem. Just reading over the thread I think you have multiple problems. I agree that there's something wrong with your ignition switch. The left handlebar control would account for the horn, blinkers, and headlight (beam flasher button). Anyway, I'll get my multi out tomorrow and see if we can sort through this.

Rich, this started when he put in the BATTERY DISCONNECT , he has now disconnected the disconnect and maybe the problem now is he has it connected wrong or blew the SOLENOID. Alleyoop
