You may have gave up looking for the fuse box, but here are some pics of my fuse box. It seems to be located in a different place than any I have seen on here yet, but still under the seat. My bike is a 2006 BMS Macho Man 250 per side sticker that were on it. The VIN plate says Shanghai JMStar Motors, and also something and Baron Motors. I have had the bike torn apart since I bought it because I am repairing panels, and repainting them, along with a little other work. All panels have now been repaired and primered, but rain the last few days has kept me from painting them. Anyway since it is apart I figured I could take some good pics. Fuse box under the seat. Close up of fuse box showing wiring and mount tab. Fuse box showing where wires are going into another wire harness. What you might see if the fuse box were hanging from the side.

Radiator is directly behind front tire and yes coolant resivor is under seat...
As far as the fuse box goes.. It DOES NOT have one... people keep tellin me.. look under the seat.. look here look their.. but its not there! If it had one.. I would have found it by now.. I did however find a place where I presume the fuse box cound have been wires to.. but it is an empty plug.... no other end.. no spot under seat for it.. I think alley is correct in saying.. that is it setup like a 150cc especially since it sets on a 150cc frame... thanks for all the input

It may not have a fuse box. I just posted since mine is different than most I have seen on here. I have this 250, and a 150 I bought for body parts. The frames and very close to the same, but a slight difference in the rear where the seat attaches.

Aren't the early IRunnners a 150 with a 244 crammed into it? That would explain the glass tube and fuse next to the battery. evosales.com/pd_fast_scooter_250cc.cfmYeah this one. New ones have the Linhai clone but the early ones had CN-250s. Remember the Xerex nightmares on Ebay a few years ago? 2006s with rotting anti-freeze and overheating problems that stymied everyone.

My confusion over horizontal vs vertical stemmed from pictures like this one on the web:
That one is clear enough to see it's a Linhai clone.
We've had folks on the forum get their scoot delivered only to discover it's the wrong engine from what they wanted.
I let some dirt cheap 250s escape from Green Earth Scooters without ordering one thinking I might get them dirtier and cheaper. But instead they ran out. So if I tap that deal it'll be sometime this weekl
The 250 in a 150 frame might be the way to go. I can work on them and I know how to service them. I just wonder what was altered to get a radiator in the scooter's engine compartment. Member Zug Zug had one of the 250s in a 150 frame but was not happy with it. There were a lot a little things wrong simply because they did not take the time to get everything straight. But at a $1600 price they'd be hard pressed to get me to complain much.

I am starting to here a tapping noise in my engine... that is when it first starts.. if i rev it for a lil while and let it warm up it kinda seems to fade... if i shoot a short vid of the sound can someone tell me if i need to adjust my valves? I have watched the short video on how to do it prolly 20 times now... but it seems to simple...

Little ticky ticky is fine as they get hot they expand and quiet down. When first started there is maybe no oil it has all drained away and then the pump starts to pump oil up to the valves. Alleyoop

No help this time, just comments. My 250 frame looks the same as this one, although I have a fuse box. My 150 frame looks nearly the same except the rear shock crossbar is at the back of the frame, and it does not have a fuse box. The plastic covers are the same on both, and why I bought the 150 for parts. Dang Jenningsjosh, I pictured you being taller than that:
