Also.. did I boil the thermo correctly? and do you REALLY think an auto parts store would carry one this small?

HAHAHAHA, I corrected it a lot of stuff going on here, Just take that thermo to an auto parts store or napa store and see if they can match it up.
AND NO THE CDI will NOT work with the LINHAI MOTOR. Alleyoop

While you are in the auto store buying a good thermostat you might also want to pick up a gallon of Preston 50-50 mix coolant. Just what you will need for the motor when done digging through it and fixing things.
No fuse box in the area under the seat? Like for mine it is just on the front left area across from the battery. But not real sure how your scoot is arranged. Roadrunner I is not a name I am familiar with. Some have there fuses in the dash box. With the covers all off it may be simple to follow the cables from the battery to where ever. Along the way you should find a fuse box or individual fuses in the branches. .

Look under the SEAT? they usually cover it with a rectangular piece of plastic near the battery held down with 1 screw. Alleyoop

Look in the back near your taillights, or in the glove box. Alleyoop

Over the motor and battery is another cover. Two screws and you can remove that cover and then see the battery, wiring, fuse box, as you see in the photo Allyoop put up above. .

Really a complete job of removing the rear panels. I was hoping to see large naked battery sitting up there with a fuse box beside it. Nothing looks like what I expected so I guess I can not help on the video.
Do you have access to the seller? Maybe a short call could tell the story. .
