Well I also did not see a fuse box either, but let me say this I don't think yours has a fuse box reason I say is because of that Fuse Tube, it appears to be setup like a 150. Check the fuse in that white plastic tube and see if it is 10 or 15amp fuse. Also look at your solenoid and see if the Solenoid has a built in fuse slot Which would be around 20amp fuse. If nothing then your scoot does not have a fuse box. Alleyoop

a couple things I have not figured out..
1--- how to short the thermoswitch to make fan come on... ( I did make fan run by direct connect to fan wires) does that just consist of making the two prongs make contact with eachother while the wires are still slightly connected?
2--- NO fluid came out of drain plug... NOTTA... my resivor is FULL and some of the hoses had liquid... snitTY liquid! Brown rusty lookin stuff that didn't smell of antifreeze... Why no fluid?

Well the thermostat is definitely bad so that right there when the water gets up to the thermostat temp it will open and allow cooler water to flow into your motor to cool it off. So then watch your temp and see if the TEMP SENSOR kicks on the fan the temp sensor may also be bad. Alleyoop

The alarms always cause your battery to drain, most unplug it and take it off. Also does yours have a REMOTE START? Alleyoop

Did you pull up the mat on the floorboards to look for the fuses? Pull up the mat and see if there's a little door that you can open by taking a couple screws out. There may be more than one door. Other locations on scooters are the side rails on the frame, under the front cowling, behind access doors like a glovebox (I know, I read it, I'm just pitching ideas), by the battery, by the solenoid, and below the side rails. You could trace the wire back from the fan, you will eventually hit the fuse. As Alley said, there's not always a central box, but the fuses are in the system somewhere.

While you have the thermostat out and before you start to put things back together would be the time to put your hose into the pipes and radiator and engine to try to back flush all the crap out. Once back together it will be a bit harder to do. .

Another idea. Are there any scooter shops in the area? Like one that would sell Honda scooters?
If you want that machine to purr as you said, it is best to have a working thermostat that would try to keep the engine stable in a temp range that loves exploding gas and rapid throttle changes. Too hot or too cold and you will be searching for a good carb setting, one that works for a cold start and also for the warmer running temps.
Or as Allyoop said, order one. .

Oh my, that sure looks naked. Also a bit different from my scoot with covers off. Yours is 2007 and mine is 2008. Your gas tank is between your feet but where is your radiator? Looks like the expansion bottle is right under your seat. .
