Hello everyone I have some questions that may sound pretty stupid (but this is my first scooter) I just got it today it is called the Roketa Autumn 250cc stock # SKU:SCO057 purchased from Megamotormadness.com if you would like to see it. On the back of the scooter it has the letters (YY250T-2) I’m needing to know where all of the fluids go how to tell if it full or not (its bad deal that the tech couldn’t help me when I called them) under the seat is the fuel tank and what seams to be a radiator cap when I removed it there is no liquid to see also when you open the center piece in front of the seat (where you can plug in an mp3 player) there is another container that is also empty when I remove the cap and because this is an automatic does it take transmission fluid? If so where does it go and how to check it. It’s a bad deal that I have no kind of paper work that tells anything about this if some could help me on this or maybe know where I could download a pdf file for the scooter it would be a great help also could you email to at bbradio@suddenlink.net like to see if everything works ok and try to get a little ride time in before it gets to cold here in Missouri

I can't help much as I do not have one like that, but I would get a camera if you don't already have one and learn how to post pictures here. When you find some thing you are not familiar with posting a picture can be a great help so others know exactly what you are talking about. There is a great deal of information in the library section along with how-to's. Reading the many posts here will gain you a lot of knowledge and what to ask about your scooter. It might be nice to post a few differnt views of your scooter soon. There are many model names for a lot less scooter models, the importers all call them some thing different to make them hard to compare prices.

The scoot is water cooled so it has a radiator just like a car and a fan that comes on when the temp gets to a certain degree. The METAL cap you see is a RADIATOR also the other tank you are seeing is Plastic and that is the OVERFLOW tank that should have some ANTIFREEZE in it works just like a cars overflow tank. And yes the transmission does take some oil not much just a few ozs but that is in the rear of the CVT cover. Alleyoop Here is a service manual for it: www.rapidrepairpowersports.com/Yamaha%20YP250.html

Thank every one for the great help you have been giving and would the newer engine be the same as the older ones?

Everything the guys have said is correct. To clarify things a little, you have the vertical engine and many folks use the Honda Helix manual as a guide. Please be aware, only the parts of the manual dealing with the engine are relevant as the Helix became the CF Moto Fashion which is like.....well, actually nothing is quite like the Fashion. I personally like the manual that Gatekeeper posted as it is written by CF Moto. Again, only the parts for the engine apply. The manual that Alley posted deals with the non-engine aspects of your scooter. Unfortunately there isn't a service manual that is specific for your scooter. This is true of almost all Chinese scooters. You have to use the manuals as a general guide and not a hard and fast reference. We are always here for you to post a question about your scooter should you need help that the manuals can't provide.
Michael from Mega Motor Madness contacted me a few months ago and asked about being one of our banner vendors. He was very polite and businesslike. I checked out their site and felt it was professional and user friendly. I told him we would be happy to add them to the banner rotation and I explained about contributing to the no Google ad fund. I felt Mega Motor Madness was a positive addition to Scooter Doc. They wouldn't be in the banner rotation if I didn't. I just sent Mega Motor Madness an e-mail and asked them to respond to the issues outlined by Robertban.

Thanks Again for all your help found out where all the fluids go and changed them to good quality due to what I had been reading that they might just be shipping fluids now if I just could keep it running seems like when the engine warms up (a little bit past the halfway mark on temp gauge) it dies sometimes it will start back up and maybe run a couple minutes before it dies again. Gatekeeper says that the valves may need adjusted for it to keep running I was thinking that MegaMotorMadness had already done that I changed out the fuel filter cause the one that was on it look like it had some little black plastic pieces in it but when I drained out what bit of gas (About 1 Gallon) it still flowed through the original filter just fine so I think the carburetor is just fine
Sure would like to get it running right before I have to store it for the winter come spring time the warranty will be out on it still stuck with a non running scooter that I have no way getting it to a repair shop if there is one around that works on them P.S.MegaMotorMadness I spoke to a tech name Joe who couldn’t tell me where the fluids went I found out on my own what the fluid was where the mp3 player plug and cup holder was being the scooter was an automatic I didn’t know if that was transmission fluid or what until I was filling the radiator threw the pressure cap still don’t know if the transmission has its own fluid or if it uses the engine oil if not where do you check it? Thanks
