my book is almost finished..
Mine too. Who's publishing it? I devoted the dedication to you.
"To Luke, who's lack of knowledge, riding ability and mechanical know-how inspired me."
My book will drive the Japanese into the sea and save unsuspecting people millions of dollars.
I want to see it ACTUALLY run...heck with the weather...
And when it does will you apologize to all Chinese scooter owners, everywhere? You'll notice that Malevalina has been silent. Unlike you, she's been out riding and having the time of her life.

It's been a few days so I wanted to give you guys an update on my PDI/Assembly. I've been waiting on fuel lines and other essential upgrades to come in the mail. I expected them this past Friday. I knew from the tracking information that a signature would be required. I had class on Friday but my lovely bride had the day off. Before I left Friday morning, I asked her to make she was here to sign for the package. Our mail normally comes within the same 30 minute window. After my calc class, I pulled out my phone. I had two texts from her: "The mail truck is stopped two doors down but I need to go to the grocery store." (Three WHOLE minutes later) "Screw this. I can't wait all day." She waited three minutes for the mail truck then left. Thanks dear. You're a peach. Anywho... I'm gonna swing by the post office in the morning on my way to class and pick up my gear. The weather is supposed to warm up a bit this week as well so I should be in good shape to get it put back together. Next week though... the wife works all week, the kids are in school all week, the temperature is forecast to be in the mid 40's, and I have spring break. With a little luck, I'll be riding my butt off for the better part of next week. It's still too cold to get in the garden. What else am I supposed to do with a week off?

whoah!!! did you just removed the head cover and planning to adjust those valve thingies? ?? dude, you are voiding your warranty, my goodness!,, you shouldv'e fired it up first then if it fails to start you have to report them to the dealer...but since that frigggin head was all open, the dealer would ask you"did you do anything" ? if they learn that you do some major shets in your scooter, they won't even entertain you... i'm still waiting for you to fire it up and actually see it running!!!!....then i will start my documentary report. a.k.a "my Book" ...the rise and fall of a Chinese scooter! i suspect you already tried to fire it up and it doesnt want to start, then out of embarassment, you just sent KZ a pm,then kz told you to adjust the valve, am i right or am i right???!!! i told you be honest!!!!

You got me dead to rights LUKE. I ignored all the instruction found online for doing a proper PDI. In my haste, I just tore the cardboard off of the crate, connected the battery leads up to some jumpers hooked up to my truck and tried to fire it up. When that didn't work, I started sending PMs to kz1000st. At the risk of voiding my comprehensive internet dealer warranty, I took off the valve cover. I'm gonna keep fiddling around in there with a screwdriver and a hammer until the thing starts, or until kz sends me a PM telling me otherwise. I'd appreciate any advice you could give me on getting the thing running. I don't feel so bad about the dealer not entertaining me. You're providing about all the entertainment I need buddy.
