No worries man. It's an illusion. The fuel line clears both shocks by about 2". Looking down on it, it makes an "S" shape that clears both shocks. Thanks for the heads up though!

Today's update: I did some work on the scoot yesterday, but didn't accomplish much. I got the valves squared away, both set to .003". I spent about two hours out there yesterday. The remainder of the time was spent trying to organize my pile of bolts and screws and remember what goes where.
Today, I replaced the vacuum lines that operate the fuel shutoff and carb. I left the vac lines for the PAIR system as is because I'm still debating removing the PAIR all together. I changed the engine oil and inspected every electrical connector. Everything was great, except for one of the connectors for the front turn signals. The brass female fitting on the end of one of the wires had not been seated in the plastic housing. Obviously, I fixed that. Another issue I corrected was that the connection from the scoot to the front-left turn signal was about 3" too short. I trimmed back the electrical tape and sheath to give me some extra length there. While I was going through all the connectors, I gave them all a good dollop of dielectric grease. I did a trial fit of all the body panels. It was a little tricky. Everything seemed kinda twisted or sprung. The plastic pieces wanted to lock together one way but it didn't really agree with what the frame was doing. I just worked from the middle of each piece out and left all the screws a little loose until I got them into place.
All that's left is to take the bucket back out, put the airbox back in, fill it up with a little petrol, and tune the carb a bit. Weather forecast is 64 degrees on Monday, and I'm on spring break with no kids and the wife works all day. With a little luck, I'll be on the road all day. I'll keep you posted.

Here LUKE, I’ll save you a little effort here. You can just copy and paste this as your reply: Make sure you change out all the wires in the electrical system because those crap Chinese scooters are designed to run on metric voltage. I’ll be devoting a whole chapter in my book to that. It’s right after the chapter called “Body panels don’t match up with the frame on any scooter other than a Morphous.” By the way, I’m designing my own body panels for scooters. Good luck getting it to run on Monday. You’ll probably break down at the end of your driveway and after wallowing in shame, start PM’ing ScooterDoc members so you won’t have to lie to me and say things went perfectly. Don’t lie. I can’t wait to start my book.

The only thing I can say is that you should have set the valves to .004 intake and .005 exhaust. The exhaust valve especially tightens up pretty quick and usually is hanging open a little after the first 1,000 miles. Been there, seen that. I'll have to do it soon on mine with the new head I installed.
.003 is for 50cc scoots.

IT RUNS!!!! I dumped in a gallon of low-grade gas that has been sitting in my garage for 3 years in it, primed the fuel lines, pushed the go button, and it fired up after about 1.5 seconds. She's road ready now. I'm just waiting on my MCO from the dealer. I'm hoping it's in the mail tomorrow. KZ, thanks for the heads up. It seems to be running fine for right now. My plan is to take it out on Monday, put that first 50 miles on it, then change the fluids and set the valves to what you recommend. I played around with the carb today too, but I didn't want to get too serious with it until I burn that crapty gas out of there and get some fresh, high octane in it.
I'm pretty pumped. Thanks for your help in getting me this far, guys!

Thanks cyborg. I didn't really know what to expect, especially with that garbage gasoline I put in it. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure why. So far, everything has gone much better than expected.

hey man you got over 5000 people rooting for you and one idiotic blowhard dissenter thats not,,,,,i say you don't have a lick of trouble with that fine scoot you got except the usual suspects,,,oils tires brakes, belt for at least 4-5000 miles which you'll probably lay on it in the first season,,,then give it a real good going over next winter and you can do it all again the following summer,,KZ,ALLEY,RICH and others are doing some real numbers with their scooters, and you will too,,,
