That is a fascinating engine. Only thought that concerns me is how hard it might be to keep cool. Anyhow, something to keep an eye on. Would be interesting to see it in a small form factor as a 5 cylinder scooter engine, maybe in the equivalent 450 or 650 class.

I looked at this video and thought to myself, "Why does this sound familiar?" Then it hit me. Intake and exhaust ports and a "Reciprocater". "Well it isn't just an ordinary car. Maaaazda."
A variation on the rotary engine. Tell me later how it does in terms of lubricating all its pieces and gas mileage. Even the Japanese couldn't solve the fuel mileage bugaboo.

that imitates the concept of a rotary engine used in aviation.
that thing might be good in speed but maybe bad in torque output, i don't like the engineering behind it.
it might be good in the eyes of KZ because his standards are low(too much incliniation in chinese scooters makes his standard low) but not for me, i'm hard to please....

How hard can you be to please. You trailer your Bath Tub on a "Trailer in a Bag". How many miles so far this year Luke. I mean since January first. 5,000? 7,500? You've had the weather for it.

Quite a concept. And, Yes, I remember going to the library and reading Popular Mechanics BEFORE the wankle came to realization. The only thing on this engine that I am leary of, is it just seem to have to many moving parts. I mean critical moving parts. If something happens to that cam, the whole engine is gone. A conventional engine has the piston going up/down The Wankle had a single rotating rotor. This has 5 piston rotating. Granted, I'm as dumb as a rock, but to me, if something happened, it would be a mechanical nightmare to repair.
The concept, extremely interesting. Extended reliability and repairs, I'm still out to lunch on that one.
But, it will be nice to monitor it's progress in the automotive world.
Thanx

Yes I see problems as well,, the seal between the ports and cylinder tops the rocker style crank ,,, lots of swept areas surely to generate lots of heat lots of reciprocating mass also

In a perfect world.....maybe. Too many if's for that one. And to cool it wow. They must own a bearing factory too.
And we all know when you up the power reliability goes down.
