I am looking to replace my fuel and vacuum hoses since I bought my scoot used and they were never changed out. If you have don't this yourself, would you mind giving me the where, what and how much? Thanks.

Fuel lines are generally 1/4" and vacs are 3/16". I use zip ties for clamps, quick, easy, and cheap...like my GF. Most of the time you have to ramp down from 1/4" from the tank to 3/16" at the carb inlet. You can tie them off extra tight or build a reducer using brass fittings. I can tell you how to do that if you want. The reducer fuel filters from Bike Bandit unfortunately run the wrong way. However, they have some slightly costly clear line that can be used for both fuel and vac that is very nice. I think it's from Motion Pro. You can see if the gas is flowing, , if the vac is pulling, and if gas is making it into the vac system via a leak. It's handy and for what distance you run on a scooter it's just not that much.

YES! Tygon....that's what I used...thanks Alley I dropped the ball. Sorry Matt. That stuff is made for racing and it does get a little brittle over a couple of years. I think it's made to be race environment resistant so there's a trade off there. But swapping out lines once you get things set up is easy. I run a fuel line to a filter, then to a Briggs and Stratton valve, then to carb. The only vac lines I run are manifold to ACV valve and...um....let's see...that's it! The vacs to the pollution devices ( oh HAR HAR ) and petcock disappeared some how. A chicken was involved, I do know that much:

Just curious here, what length of each would be needed to replace the lines on 2 50cc & son's Tank 250. I see some @ Dennis Kirk sold in 5' length, would that cover all?

I would go with 3 feet of fuel line for each scoot and depending if the scoot has emissions I would go with 3 feet of vacuum lines per scoot as well. Alleyoop

That filter would work. 25'? That's kinda much unless you're a scooter shop. Resistance to gas? Buy gas line, gas melts things, it's unbelievable. It's a relatively small hydrocarbon molecular mixture which allows it to be somewhat more reactive than long chain hydrocarbons. Before somebody pounces on me they may not be that ionic but their smaller molecular weight allows them to interact more robustly with other molecules due to their aggregate smaller surface area. They will eat non fuel line substances up. Rich

You've probably already done something, but if not, or for anyone else thinking of changing theirs out, "Tygon" is what you want. Any auto parts store worth their salt, or lawn mower repair shop, should have 50' rolls that they measure and snip to you're specs....found mine at the local Carquest, wasn't more than $2 a foot...Bob
