Compared to my back brake, my front brake doens't work very well, and I feel like they should work equally. What should I look at to get my front brake working fully?

Actually, the front brake should have more stopping power than the rear (70%) Remove the pads, scuff em up (remove any glazing) , ensure sufficient fluid, bleed any air. Ensure piston moves when lever is depressed.

I'll be posting a video tomorrow of myself removing, inspecting, and re-installing my front brake. I don't have much wisdom to impart upon you, but at least you can see what the tear down looks like.

Dave speaks the truth,,,the front should be over double the stopping power of the rear,,,,,,,,,on all of my bikes ridden on the street i use my rear but not very often,,99% of my braking is done with the front

NO Racer!!! NO! Don't do it buddy! That "ABS" is junk. If it is causing your problem, then it's best to remove it all together, not replace it. It's not ABS; it just dumps your braking force if you grab a big handful of the front brake. It's dangerous. As soon as I get things settled in on my scoot, that ABS thing is GONE.

the front brake should feel very solid and secure ,,,i like mine very sensitive and spooky touchy,,i'm going to change the front line to a braided on mine ,,,,it's good bordering on great but not quite where it should be

Is there any chance that the front brake on my scooter could be a drum? I'm pretty sure they're all disc, right?

Here's the video I promised. This is what a disc brake looks like.

Yes, both brakes on mine and my brothers brakes are drums. I adjusted my front brake and now I have sufficient stopping power. What would cause my front brake to shudder the whole bike, though?

Glazed pads will cause that. Alleyoop

So apparently I have glazed pads, huh? How do you remove the front drum? How should I unglaze them?! Is glazing the reason my brothers bike barely has any stopping power? How will I ever know? Tune in next time for the next episode of "BRAKE CRISIS" next week on Saturday (9/8c)!

To remove the glaze on the shoes, just rub em with some sandpaper

Shall do, as soon as I can get the front tire/brake off o.O I found a video for getting the back tire and brakes off and such, but not the front (especially because they are a drum).
