Usually Im pretty good at spotting potential improvements but on yours I dont realy think the wheels will add much...looks good the way it is! Maybe a gunmetal but I woildnt go black or red.

Thought id quickly explain how I did the rims on my scooter to give you an idea.
This is what the front wheel use to look like:
I taped up the outer and inner edge of the rim and used paint stripper carefully to remove the black I wanted to paint over revealing the alloy. After doing that i cleaned the paint stripper residue with methylated spirits. Used a fine grade steel wool and scuffed around the rim to remove any little bits of black that was still on the rim and then wiped over again with methylated spirits.
After prepping the rim i used "Dupli-Color Metalcast Paint" to do the rim. This paint can be used on chrome or any shiney metal surface to bring up an anodized look and its also heat resistant and dries fast to. I sprayed 3 coats on the rim then did the same on the other side of the rim except i didn't do the inner lip, only the outer.
Done. I have had a lot of comments about the rims of my scooter. Those paints come in a few colours and you can also buy a ground coat which is silver. You can spray the silver down on a none shiney surface and spray the colour over the top of it to give it a metallic look

The Gold Wing guys, and others, are getting into Plasti Dip Coatings. It comes in many colors, including clear, is very durable and can be pealed off if you want to change the color or look. It is available from most auto supply stores but here is a link to a major supplier. Eastwood is a bit on the expensive side but gives you the idea:

I never knew it was so big! I started looking into it to possibly paint my scooter.... I like the look of your wheels!!! Plasti Dip is amazing! People are painting there entire car! A lot of people say why? A lot of people say why not? Easy way to change the color and it's actually a protectant in some form.
