I trust chinese scooters, but I'm not entirely sure I would trust a car/truck that was manufactured in China for the sole purpose of trying to rip off an American product.
I'll keep my 210 HP 1994 Mercury (Ford!) Grand Marquis, thank you!

Fords loss for not allowing them to be imported there.

Actually a 105hp motor would serve the purpose in this country for 90-95% of the miles the f150 is driven here. Looking at most PU trucks, they are riding around empty, driven the same as a guy with a compact car.
There is one guy around here that is a retired truck driver who drives an f150. He is over 90, and ever time he gets in or out it looks as he is going to fall off the running board. He can hardly walk. His wife and the medical people have tried to get him to trade and get a car that he could get into just by sitting down and swinging legs in but he refuses. As far as I know he has never even had the tail gate down or had anything inside the bed, its too tall, a 4x4.

True. Most 4x4 trucks and suvs are pavement pounders.

Years ago I worked with a guy who owned an F150. It was immaculate and shined like the sun. He put a solid Tonneau cover on it that was color matched. I asked him how he carried lumber in it with tonneau. He looked at me aghast and said, "I don't use my truck to carry lumber."

A long time ago I figured it's a lot better to drive a 30mpg car than a macho 15mpg truck and occasionally pay a $10 delivery fee for what the car won't carry. In '79 I bought a 16mpg PU new and easily could have got by with a car.

What gives us the right to tell someone else what he should be driving. I know our country is leaning to the left a bit lately...but give me a break...if someone wants a pickup to drive back and forth to work, instead of a car, the choice is his...not his neighbor's.....Bob
