How would I go about cleaning gas tank out??? Scooter has been running great boo bogging or anything. Today I was riding it for a couple hours around town and at stop light it shut off and wouldn't start. Tearing everything apart and cleaning EVERYTHING as I also check everything out.

Rubbing alcohol works well. Is your filter plugged? Have you adjusted your valves? If it runs a while.....shuts off..and won't start it's usually the valve gap. How about the tank vent? Run it a while with the cap loose, if it doesn't stall it's the tank vent and maybe the vapor recovery system. Rich

WHAT!! riding around enjoying the ride and when you come to a stop it dies. Why do you think the tank needs cleaning. It is most likely the valves tightened up and when that happens the motor looses compression and will not hold a low rpm and die. Now after the motor cools off it should start up again. So my .02 is valves need to be adjusted.
If it is a 50cc set both valves to .003 inchs If it is a 150cc set both valves to .004 inchs Alleyoop

OK thanks guys. Yeah I'm just taking everything apart and thoroughly cleaning it. This thing was definitely a beater. I had it running so good too. I will re adjust the valves again and hopefully it runs again.

Once again it won't start. Beginning to think I'm not doing valves right or something. I don't know.
