Thanks for the info. I live on a boat and cruise full-time so I needed a way to easily remove the variator, clutch and clutch pad nuts. I will routinely drive the scoot to a nice park and work on it under a nice shady tree and the 12v impact wrench will be a nice addition to ease the removal and install.

Has anyone tried hooking up the 12v impact wrench to the scooter battery? Does it work? Thanks

The clutch pads were glazed. I sanded them a little, but noticed the belt may be rubbing on the bottom of the cover! What would be causing that? A weak clutch spring? It is only when I roll off. If I keep even just a little bit of power so as to coast and not power brake, it does not make the noise. Thanks for the help. I could use suggestions on a performance variator and a performance clutch kit. Thanks again

My scooter has begun making a RING....RING....RING noise at a very fast rate when I roll off the throttle. I thought the fender was hitting the tire, but that is not it. Sounds like it is coming from around Variator to the clutch area. It does not do it on the stand. I changed the belt and the noise is still there. Braking has no affect. When I roll off the noise starts. If I roll on, even to just coast but increase the RPMs, the noise goes away. Any thoughts? Could this be the weights in the Variator? Thanks All, you have all been so helpful. Knot Tide Down

I understand that, but a 1 1/2" should fit it ONLY to get the clutch apart. Has anyone used one for this?

Can anyone confirm if a 1 1/2" socket will work, also? I know it is close but would like to know for sure before I buy one. There is a good deal at Lowes for standard sockets. Thanks in advance

It would be nice if companies had pictures so we could see how the exhaust looks installed.

I want to order a performance CDI, but can't even find mine to see what it is! AC or DC! It must be by the stator. Have to pull the fan cover next. Thought it would be attached to the frame.
