looking good man! thanks for posting all this it answers some things about the scoot i just picked up to "frankenstien" myself. question, that upper bearing race on the front tube, is it removeable? i want to cut the upper tube down a bit and lower the upper bearing, and cut the fork upper to match it. where it is threaded at the top on mine is broken anyway, so i will probably have to thread it... i had already planned on doing the fake upper triple tree as i saw was mentioned in an earlier post. i loved the idea of using sink plumbing pipe to mimic the inner shock tubes!!

i bought a masterlock U shaped bike lock. the only problem i have with it is not being wide enough to keep from scratching the paint off my wheels (someone was a crapty painter!) im having them powdercoated hopefully that will handle the abuse better. i have two kill switches, and i also bought THIS from china. apparently its on a slow boat from there because its still not here yet...
ebay item number 390221463992: disc brake lock
it locks on your disc brake, and has a built in 120 DB alarm. between all that i figure my scooter will be safe.

fusion is good for plastic, but you painted it over paint. the thing about these chinese scooters is, they literally did nothing to prep the plastic surfaces before painting. the only thing holding the paint on is the rest of the paint. one chip, and the rest will start to go.
i have a spot larger than a quarter chipped off the main rear fairing. the plastic beneath is smooth as hell. not good for paint.
for best paint adhesion, always scrub with a green scotch brite pad until finish is completely dull. then use a spray on adhesion promoter. krylon fusion works well, but must be bare plastic to get the "fusion" effect
