Sorry i havent been on here to upload a vid, been busy working on the outlaw and forgot to do a vid before pulling it apart lol. How is your digital dash going? Like you, i've been busy, busy, busy.... No, unfortunately have not had the time to install my speedo yet... Before I can even get do it, I have to finish out this 11 pole stator swap I'm doing on a different scoot. I will get to it.... Here where I live (USA, Michigan) for the next 3~4 months us scooter riders are just SOL... Lately it has been cold, but dry.... So, I figured what the heck, I'll go for a ride.... It was 29* outside.... I made it less than a mile and turned around for home..... way too cold for me.. And I was very bundled up.... That cold air just cuts through your clothing as if you're naked.... Anyhow, I'll get to it ASAP and keep me updated if ya get that video up .

My first motorized two wheeled vehicle was a Honda spree. It was a second hand, 1985 Honda Spree. This was my brothers but because he was almost three years older, when he got his 4 wheel licence, he stopped paying attention to his spree and basically it became mine.... I rode that thing hard.... Jumps, 3 to 4 people on the scoot at one time, etc etc... Basically, everything you shouldn't be doing, I was doing... But, when my 15th birthday rolled around, my dad bought me my own brand new spree. It was a 1987 Honda spree and this one I babied.... It's what started my attachment to twist and go scoots and I have thought about buying one just for nostalgic reasons. My dad has a gold wing that he's had since new and still runs like a champ!

Yep, the PWK carbs are normally used for 2T applications, but really are just a Flat Slide Throttle direct style carb that has been used in all kinds of racing applications for pretty much ever. We just used that for the instant throttle response that it gives, and is also much easier to tune NO2 with this style of carb. For street use I'd still go with the more standard CVK carb though. It'll provide plenty of fuel with a more friendly application of the throttle, which is far better for the longevity of the engine and your transmission parts. Matt Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions..... I did a little more searching about PWK vs CVK and learned a great deal... These scooter forums are awesome! Anyhow, I wound up selecting the 30mm CVK Hoca carb to go with this engine. How do you think that carb will work out with this 180cc power kit?

Hey Matt, thanks for the reply. yes, that does answer my questions. However, now I have a new one! The Hoca carb you listed says it is a 2 stroke carb. Did you have to do any mods to use this type of carb? Also, what are the pros/cons of using a PWK over a CVK? BTW: The Cyber Monday sale was awesome! I purchased one of these motors and will be publishing a video review later.

If you already have a " conversion kit" from the other case what are you waiting for?,,, The only thing holding me up is not knowing for 100% sure.... I've had good responses thus far and it seems like it would be an easy swap using my existing parts, but If I drop $500~$1500 on either or 180cc or a 232cc....I want to know for 100% sure I'm leaning heavily towards the 180cc kit... However Taida I have learned is the cream of the crop and would really like to build a TAIDA 232cc.... I may just build both.... My plan for one of my Havocs: I'm gonna put a 4 valve setup with an Ecotrons EFI... I'm not gonna bore it... I can get a 58.5 BBK kit and a 58.5mm 4 valve piston.... Truly convert my Havoc into a Zuma clone. The other one I need to build for long trips and reliability. I want oil cooled by a radiator (ported at the crankcase, not a drain plug kit) and I may even go as far the water cooled Taida 67mm BBK Tall (75.2mm (for 6600 or 8600 stroker)) cylinder... Good thing is, with this 180cc kit from Partsforscooters.com I can start out at 180cc and go up to 232cc at my leisure Anyhow, back to brake.... What would guys you suggest I do to verify that my setup is a disk brake mounted on a drum engine? Should I pull the back wheel? (That would be a big job),.......

Well that is great already converted drum casing to a disk, so then yes you just might need to swap the drive shaft from the old to the new case. Alleyoop I was hoping for a little more of a response than that.... Not so much from you in particular , but just anyone whos actually had their hands dirty and done this. For example: if you could verify that my Havoc is in fact a drum motor setup for disk brakes... I mean I get that every scooter is unique and you may not even seen a setup like mine, but it would be cool if I could find someone that knew for 100% sure. Have you ever heard of another scooter that is setup like this?

To tell you the truth NO, many have tried and not succeeded on other disk brake scooters. Can you cite some examples. The info i'm getting so far is that your NO is inaccurate. I took note of your comment in a different thread where you said I may getting bad info.... People are telling me I can in fact convert my specific scooter, because it's already been factory converted. Please see this thread on i tstheride

Hey gang, I made a video showing the setup of my 50cc Bintelli Havoc's rear disk brake setup.
It appears to be the case that my motor is in fact already a "drum motor" that has been factory converted to use rear disk brakes. The caliper is mounted on the swing arm and the rotor to the right side of the wheel/rim.

I was wanting to buy a 180cc upgrade kit but it appears to be setup for drum brakes. My Scooter is a Bintelli Havoc 150cc and I have both front and rear disk brakes. Is it possible to use my components off my disk brake engine and convert the drum in this 180cc kit to disk?

Jim, Actually, for the drag bike we decided to use a stock crank for our most recent build. It worked very well and held up nicely to the N02 that we were pushing all day. In a previous build we ran a +2.5mm stroker that works nicely with this kit in a NA application; It brings the kit up to 187cc. We found that the smaller lighter stock crank is a bit faster in the NO2 powered drag bike, whereas in a street bike the added tq from the stroker is pretty awesome. The other nice thing about this kit is that it is a true GY6 "big block" kit, and therefore it moves everything out a bit, and there is quite a bit of locked up power still in it for someone with the skills to bore it our further and to make use of it. Matt What size carb did you use with build? Also, what other upgrades did you do? CVT / GEARS / Clutch?

I have ordered from partforscooters.com on multiple occasions. Every time the order shipped fast, with tracking and items were accurate. To top it off, their prices are competitive.
The only time I order from somewhere else is if PFS doesn't have the item I need in stock.
I highly recommend this company your scooter parts!

I have been considering ordering some motor from an online seller that I've never purchased from before....
Has anyone ever ordered anything from the GY6store.com?
How did the transaction go?

I send my condolences.
Some people are not dog lovers and they'll never understand how much these Animals become parts of our families.... But as a dog owner myself, I can sympathize and know no words will suffice....
