Allyoop, my scoot is also called a YY250T or I would not have put up my post.
It is noted as a YY250T in paper work and also on the EPA tag for the machine. .

Interesting. I also own a MC 54 250B with the vertical engine and it has the fuel gauge at the back of the tank. When I first bought the machine new, one problem was that the gas was leaking around the gauge mounting area. I finally found it to be leaking through the gauge itself. So I ended up smearing the outside of the gauge with sealer stuff from the auto store. Now three years later it is still holding. No more gas leaking. If it had started to leak some more I was willing to order a new fuel gauge assembly.
My seat does stay up a bit but not enough to work under there. So I bought half inch dowel at Lowes, or any lumber yard. Cut it to about 2 feet long and use it between the back of the box and up to a dent in the seat underside. Now the seat stays wide open. Probably need to design you own length and where to have it push up on the underside.
I just store it right in the compartment so it is always handy. .

Tightening torque is pretty standard. I am linking to a chart that has many lists by size and type of bolts. I hope it is useful to you. Also, if you do a search using 'tightening torque' for your search, there will be a number of articles about this effort. www.rpmmech.com/pdf/tightening-torque.pdf.

I thought the idea of scooters was a step through design. This looks more like a climb over motorcycle design than a useful step through design of scooters for so many years. .

I bought my 2008 MC 54 250B new in February 2011. That makes the battery about 2 years and 8 months old. I always kept it attached to a battery tender when not being ridden.
Today I went to start the engine, 250CC horizontal, as I have done each week for this summer in south Arizona as the temps are now finally below 100F. I was hoping to begin riding again after 3 months of dreading even going out of the house.
The engine refused to start and the battery refused to turn the engine. When it did try to run it was slow and backfiring, I did get it to run for maybe 10 minutes, I then turned it off. Would not restart again.
Is this typical for these small batteries? I guess I will just have to go buy a new one if typical or not. Riding season is arriving for us in south west desert country. A bit backward for many northern areas.
Just curious as if it is not battery then I will wonder what and why. .

I have watched a couple times now. That driver must be a complete idiot on a suicide mission. In some areas they were well across the lane markers and running head on into traffic. Near hits with other traffic, scooters, and pedestrians. I don't think I would ever want to visit Ho Chi Minh City. I have better things to do. .

I use FireFox and just connected to the super store.
Maybe you have something else standing between you and the store.
I do agree that MS is not the giant it once thought they were. Many folks try not to use MS if they can avoid it.
I just read some stuff on PC shares and most PC's are built with MS. But for many folks they immediately install a different system like one of several Linux or a FireFox. This does not get regular accounting at all. I leave MS on my computers for the automatic updating of lots of things MS likes to support. But I usually never use the MS part on my PC's for daily usage. MS has always been on a buying rage since they got started. I think many times just to end competition and other times to speed up development of a product by buying something they really wanted to market. They would buy at the competitors name but soon that link was lost and they started using a name of their own.
MS is an interesting company and I think the PC world would have done just as good without them and their oppressive ways of getting rid of good competition. .

On the sales sheet you posted it is called the MC 54B 250 and the spec sheet is just the same as for my scoot except for the picture of the horizontal engine and the engine spec is now changed to MC 54 250B www.roketa.com/product/2610/0/2658.shtmlHere it is called a MC 54 250, not 54B. And the spec sheet is the same as on your link but no pic of the horizontal engine. The specification sheet shows the same name for the scooter add, MC 54 250. Seems like a mix up by Roketa in their advertizing section. It seems that most of the scoots sold in my area came with the MC 54 250B stencils on the sides were either vertical or horizontal and no difference shown except by looking at the engine. I did not know for sure till the trucker delivered and we got inside the crate. OK with what I got. I have the vertical engine. .

Lots and lots of those folks ride there. I was there by accident one year. We were driving our car and intending to tour Canada. I had planned to stay in Sturgis but when we got there I knew better. We did go a bit off the main street and then walked back so we could look at some very nice bikes. Then we drove off and about an hour north we found another small town with hotel and restaurant to use. I think we were on US 85 most of the time.
About three years ago I met a Navajo lady from the Farmington NM area that was going to ride her three wheeler, Harley I think, up to Sturgis. Then we moved from Colorado to Arizona so I don't know how her ride worked for her.
Fine place to visit but don't think I would want to live there. .

Oh my, that sure looks naked. Also a bit different from my scoot with covers off. Yours is 2007 and mine is 2008. Your gas tank is between your feet but where is your radiator? Looks like the expansion bottle is right under your seat. .

Another idea. Are there any scooter shops in the area? Like one that would sell Honda scooters?
If you want that machine to purr as you said, it is best to have a working thermostat that would try to keep the engine stable in a temp range that loves exploding gas and rapid throttle changes. Too hot or too cold and you will be searching for a good carb setting, one that works for a cold start and also for the warmer running temps.
Or as Allyoop said, order one. .

While you have the thermostat out and before you start to put things back together would be the time to put your hose into the pipes and radiator and engine to try to back flush all the crap out. Once back together it will be a bit harder to do. .

Really a complete job of removing the rear panels. I was hoping to see large naked battery sitting up there with a fuse box beside it. Nothing looks like what I expected so I guess I can not help on the video.
Do you have access to the seller? Maybe a short call could tell the story. .
