Update: Last week I got a engine from my local scoot shop for 100 bucks. It could have been a drop in but the rear brake is drum and my scoot is disc in the back. I pulled the head and so far everything fits. I was hoping to put it together tomorrow but that now seems unlikely so hopefully I can get it together tursday. So here's where I stand on this project Scooter - trade for an old 12 guage and a bano that I didn't play (I have several banjos) $185 to scrappy for parts that didn't work. I'm still waiting on that refund $100 for replacement engine. So anyway you look at it I got a bargin. Even if I abandon the projects I have some hard to find parts to sell to a poor soul like me.

Here's an update. I've tried 2 different heads in both the 2 bolt and 4 bolt configuration. The 2 bolt lined up correctly but the cam rocker assembly would not fit correctly. The 4 bolt stud holes lined up but the 2 side holes did not. I'm at a loss here. Nobody seems to have the proper head for this scoot.

I'm not sure if I can due to the 16 inch wheels and rear disk brake.
One last resort - at a local shop a guy has a new-old stock 2 bolt engine he wants to get rid of for 100 bucks.
That could be my only hope.

I got the new head today. The rocker arms fit fine but now I have this even though it is a gy6b intended for a 16 inch wheel scooter, the bolts don't line up. the studs are fine, its just the bolts on the side. on the originally purchased head everything lined up fine. I'm wondering, are the valves too long on that head? how hard is it to swap them out or can I by a new rocker assembly that would fit

I called scrappy and we hopefully solved the mystery. That indeed is the wrong head. I guess at one time there was another 2 bolt head other than the one scrappy sells but it's quite hard to come by, nearly impossible. So I ordered the "normal" gy6-b head and valve cover and we'll see if that works.

I wonder if I'm hung up on the 2 bolt valve cover thing? Can I get a regular gy6b head and just get a new valve cover

I got my head for my xingyue ita 150 today. I placed the rocker assembly on top of it and it doesn't match up Am I missing something? Did I order the wrong part? Are there supposed to be spacers? I'm confused

Is it back together yet, running? Results, very interested. Do one change and check results. I'm waiting on parts. I need a head and some gaskets

I got it honed and the machine shop didn't charge me. I may have just saved 84 bucks on a bbk

Update Per another forum member who may or may not be in this forum too...I forget, I an soaking the cylinder in vinegar. The crud seems to be coming off. I'll clean it, give it a hone and see how it looks. If it doesn't work I still have the 61mm kit on order

I ordered a cylinder and a head last night. The only kit they make for it is 61mm. It cost me more than I thought but it will bring it up to 170something so there's that. I still need to find a floorboard. I'll likely have to cobble something together

Tail light and headlight lite with engine start That's what I was thinking. On my 50 the tail light goes on with the key. From a video I saw, the dash lights come on with the start of the engine as well. Does anyone know if this is DC? I havent had the chance to check out the cdi yet.
